Just what we needed. A warm welcome and even warmer hot tub!

A wonderful weekend break, hot-tub just heaven. Breakfast basket was lovely and dogs enjoyed their treats too!

We had a lovely weekend, relaxing, time stood still and the stress disappeared! Our dog, Cleo loved every minute.

We came away for a weekend and got engaged right here in Alde Barn. We will forever remember coming here and leaving as fiancée’s. Thank you.

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend – so relaxing! The Barn is cosy, comfortable, and we loved the wood burner and hot tub especially. We explored the local area – Rendlesham forest for a great walk (the UFO trail), Stonham Barns, Southwold and Framlingham.

Another fantastic stay in Deben Barn. As always, cosy and everything we needed. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the treats, the meadow and the walks.

Peaceful, dog focused retreat. We ventured out to Aldeburgh and Woodbridge – both equally delightful. We will be back if only for breakfast and hot tub!

Quality days away after a hectic Christmas and to celebrate a 60th birthday. Absolutely loved the Barn with welcoming breakfast basket. Hot tub so relaxing with a glass of fizz after walking the dogs during the day.

We booked the day before and arrived very impressed with everything. Wonderful doggie treats and a secure garden made our stay stress-free!

The Granary is a wonderful place to stay – our dog particularly loved the underfloor heating! We enjoyed fish and chips at Southwold and the beach at Dunwich. Recommend Thornham Walks too!

This cottage is the best of all we have tried @ WFB. Cosy, warm in the winter! The Aga is fun once you have mastered it! Brilliant hot tub used on more than the odd occasion. Excellent breakfast, lots of things to see including a Polar Bear at Jimmy’s Farm. Bury St Edmunds is a must – lots of independent shops, places to eat, and explore the Abbey gardens. RSPB Minsmere is worth a trip as is Ickworth House.

Such a wonderful stay. The meadow was a fantastic place. Thanks for keeping us warm, the Christmas tree all decorated made it feel so nice.

The Barn is beautiful, so warm and cosy with thoughtful little extras. Barley loved it too – to see her little face running around the dog meadow was priceless!

Wow what an awesome time we have had. The house and welcome packs are above and beyond expectations. Well worth a visit to Crowfield Church just down the road, and round the corner, a visit to the Owl Sanctuary at Stonham Barns. Birthday lunch at the Red Lion in Woodbridge with a great local pub atmosphere and cracking food, then a visit to Grange Farm Shop, Hasketon on the way home. Thornham Walks is good with easy paths, followed by the Four Horseshoes pub close by. Recommend Earsham Deli at Snape Maltings, and a walk out into the marshes.

Perfect for a short break for peace and quiet, romantic and cosy. The barn is really beautiful and has everything you could need.

Such a cosy barn after muddy, waterlogged dog walks and the outside hot water doggy shower was very much appreciated by Macey. These barns are simply the best dog friendly place we’ve ever stayed. Favourite walks at Dunwich, Walberswick, Needham Lakes and Hoppit Woods. Lots of good dog friendly pubs too.

Breakfast basket is a fab idea, meaning nothing to worry about on Friday – just getting here and once here, just so relaxing! Thank you for a lovely stay.

A lovely stay as always. Enjoyed the hot tub in the evening after long walks in the day. We took a drive to Newmarket Heath – perfect walk with lots of open fields. You actually get to walk the course, but make sure you go on ‘non race days’ and after 1pm other days. This was my eighth stay at the Barns and I will again return.

A very relaxing stay in a great location for exploring the Suffolk Coast. Barn was a delight, woodburner was nice to come home to and the hot tub was a great way to warm up and relax in. Our dogs were made to feel very welcome – they loved the treats!

Think we hit the jackpot, booking the house and soon made friends with Aga. Really liked Woodbridge with lunch at the Anchor and also a great lunch at the Maybush at Waldringfield with a lovely walk along the Deben River. Thank you to the Wood Farm team for making the short break a dream!

We had lots of lovely walks with our owners and especially enjoyed the treats and garden. We wish we had underfloor heating at home! Can’t wait to come with our humans again!

Had the most amazing and relaxing time. Lovely visit to Woodbridge with lovely dog walks and a friendly restaurant called “A listers”.

This is our second time staying and re-confirmed what a hidden gem this place is! Lovely accommodation, lots of nice walks.

The Granary is so cosy and met all our needs as a base to explore Suffolk. We enjoyed Coffee at Honey and Harvey and the Black Dog Deli. Southwold, Woodbridge Aldeburgh and Yoxford are all beautiful places to visit.

We arrived with Storm Babette in full swing, having to turn back due to floods our determination to reach our beloved Barn held strong. Once at the Barn, we settled in, unwound our minds in the peaceful surroundings and look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic, the welcome basket was excellent with lots of lovely produce. We ate at The Low House/Kings Head, Turks Head and Four Horseshoes. Thornham Walks is brilliant for dog walking.

WFB has become our go to getaway over the years because it has everything a relaxing home from home should have for us and the dogs. A cosy little hideaway with all the charm and comfort. Thank you Team for another lovely stay.

What an absolutely wonderful time we’ve had. Nellie loved her doggie treats and we’ve been on some lovely walks and the meadow a great space to run free! Thanks to all who prepared Stour Barn to a great standard for our stay.

What a fabulous time we had with a magical mix of all the mod-cons in an oldie-wordly setting. The dog treats were a welcome treat and the paddock great for agility training our cocker-poo. This is our first visit but will definitely not be our last.

Our three dogs loved the meadow and we had great walks around Crowfield Church, Walberswick beach and Broom Hill, Coddenham. Great meal at The Fox Inn at Darsham and the takeaway from Zerra was great too.

We had a brilliant week and sad to be leaving. The dog field is a big hit with our three dachshunds. A very sunny trip to Southwold and lovely meals at the Four Horseshoes.

A dogs eye view!

My mum reckons its the best place they’ve been for a dog friendly holiday. The jar of dog treats for me was wonderful and even went to Doodledales shop to buy more! The best bit was the dog field across the road and the cottage garden was safe so I couldn’t escape! I made friends with a Robin and shared my biscuit crumbs with him too. I would recommend this place to other dogs for a great holiday with their owners.

A very relaxing few days visiting Suffolk. The guest information book was very useful, a thoughtful breakfast basket and the hot tub was much appreciated.

Amazing weekend with the farmers market and vintage fair all happening during our stay.  We struck lucky with the weather and loved enjoying a cup of tea on the front deck during sunset.  Beautiful part of the country.

What a marvellous unique place. It felt magical and special from the moment we all arrived. Loved all the attention to detail to make people’s stays as perfect as possible (fans, candles etc) we have been very blessed with the best of British weather for our stay. Tales from the riverbank – hearty meals with lashings of red wine, jigsaw around the table in front of the glow from the wood burner. A family memory never to be forgotten. Needless to say a good time was had by all. Many thanks.

Onderneming what can we say but wow what a fantastic boat. We loved ‘twee’ last year but there is so much room here. We were here for a relaxing break and that’s what we had. Fab location with loads of walks for the dogs straight off the boat. We did get to a couple of new places this year including Walberswick beach well worth a visit and a great early morning swim had by all. Highly recommend Onderneming and we hope to be back next year to see more wildlife including otters and a barn owl in what is a very magical place. Thank you Carl for allowing us to share your wonderful boat.

We were not sure if 6 adults and 2 children would all fit comfortably but this boat goes on forever! We all had a lovely time celebrating the grandparents belated 70th! Thank you for the yummy breakfast box and all your considerate hospitality.

What a gorgeous setting and so peaceful sat amongst the reeds to eat our breakfast! The barge is fabulous, spacious and very well equipped. Fantastic walks/shopping and a great meal at the Plough and Sail. Thank you.

Suffolk is so calm and peaceful compared to home. We had fabulous weather throughout and enjoyed some gentle walks and pleasant drives. Loved the breakfast hamper and the views from the barge. Very comfy beds, and The Growler kept us on our toes! Thanks Carl.

This trip was a great surprise for my wife’s birthday. She has always wanted to stay on a barge. We both love coming to Woodbridge so staying here was a bonus. The weather was very rainy, but it didn’t stop us from our walks. The barge was beyond our expectation, very comfortable, clean etc. The breakfast hamper was great – thank you. It was great looking through your album on the restoration of the barge, fantastic achievement by all.

We’ve had a very relaxing few days. Sutton Hoo was the highlight for us, should not be missed. We re-visited Southwold and Walberswick, and super fish and chips at Aldeburgh! Off now to collect plants from Suffolk Plant Centre. Thanks for everything.

Had a lovely short stay here – grandchildren visited us here and are begging us to book again so that they can stay too. Drove out to the Fox’s Inn at Newbourne, great for dogs and humans, and good service. Walks along the river (both ways) are beautiful. Really don’t want to face the reality of the outside world again – this has truly been an escape for the weekend.

Boris our dog had a wonderful time and catered for extremely well, especially the treats! Breakfast supplies were very much appreciated too. This is our second break with Carl's fab accommodation - only Tuscany is in our sights now. Quirky little barge with everything you could possibly need. A quiet and peaceful place for a rest! The ‘extras’ are superb and very generous. Love the hot tub, perfect to ease the muscle and back pain. Stonham Barns for its small shops and Sunday morning Car Boot worth a look.

We had the most relaxing stay in this beautiful cottage, exactly what we needed. The most perfect way to start 2023. Our pup, Winnie loved the beach at Minsmere and at Dunwich we had delicious food at The Ship. We plan to come back for sure!

The cottage is stunning and cosy as well as having super charm! This cottage did not disappoint and we are sad to be leaving. We enjoyed Snape Maltings and Aldeburgh where we had the most amazing seafood at a little shack called Marriotts fisheries.

What a hidden Gem. Thank you to Carl and Tim, for nothing is too much trouble. This place just has “IT”. We will be back.

Our fourth visit to Wood Farm Barns. We loved the hot tub, woodburner and the field for the dogs. Recommend a trip to Woodbridge, a beautiful walk along the river and lots of independent shops and cafes.

A wonderful stay celebrating a special birthday.  We visited Felixstowe, a lovely walk along the prom and lunch at The Alex.  Rendlesham Forest – our dogs enjoyed the freedom of the woodland area.  Framlingham – enjoyed a 5.5 mile around the countryside. Thanks for a memorable stay, venturing into the hot tub on the last day and thoroughly enjoying it!  Another 5 stars for Carl and his Team!

Best place to relax for a weekend away.  Watching tv in front of the fire, dip in to the hot tub and sleep!

Fantastic stay – our fifth time at the Barns.  Its the perfect place to unwind from busy lives.  Enjoyed Flatford this time.  Thank you to the WFB Team for all the hard work to make the stay so perfect.

A great base to visit nearby Framlingham Castle and the coastal towns of Aldeburgh Thorpeness, with its famous house in the clouds and Southwold. A great comfortable and enjoyable stay in the House which is full of character and a great way to end the day relaxing in the hot tub.

Very enjoyable stay here in this characterful little cottage.  The breakfast hamper was delicious and we had fun cooking on the AGA for the first time!  The hot tub was incredible and nice to have the added extras of robes, slippers etc.

We had a lovely time, the hot tub was awesome!  We had a great meal at the Dog at Grundisburgh, visited Alder Carr Farm Shop and Cafe.  Hoppit Wood is an enjoyable walk.

Lovely quirky cosy cottage.  Hot tub was wonderful and the dog field great for our young dog who was allowed freedom!  Enjoyed Thorpeness, Aldeburgh and Southwold and a nice walk at Needham Lake. 

Immediately fell in love with the warm homely feel of the cottage, perfect for a dog friendly break.  Highly recommend the Four Horseshoes at Thornham.  Enjoyed a visit to Aldeburgh with lovely shops and cafes. Look forward to another visit to stay at Wood Farm Barns.

Arrived on my birthday to find this gorgeous cottage with so many little extras, dog treats, breakfast hamper! Explored the area, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge and Sutton Hoo very interesting. Lavenham was amazing with its medieval houses. Of course the hot tub at the end of the day was fab!

Thanks for another amazing stay at Wood Farm – as always everything perfect!  We enjoyed Southwold with Fish and Chips at the Sole Bay Inn.  The Earsham Deli at Snape Maltings is a must for some nice treats and a trip to Walberswick with coffee and cake at The Black Dog Deli nice!

Our third time visiting. Worth checking out Stonham Barns and a trip to Doodledales.

Our first stay at the Barns, Deben is petit but perfect for us. The welcome hamper meant no stress to bring milk, tea etc and the contents were delicious. We loved the emphasis place on using local suppliers and businesses. We visited a couple of farm shops for meals and really enjoyed their produce. The dogs had a great time too. We look forward to returning for short breaks. Thank you Carl and the Team.

Exceeding our expectations every time.  The barn is the perfect size for us and the breakfast hamper and doggo goodies are such a  lovely touch.  We visited Jimmy’s Farm – lots of animals which you could feed and great for  a wheelchair user.  Thank you for everything.

We were amazed how dog friendly the barn is.  The décor is lovely, and we felt at home straight away.  Hot tub was great fun.  Denver loved meeting the other doggies over in the field and had some lovely chats with fellow Barners.

We’ve had a lovely four days with all our needs met. A lovely base to see family locally.

Really good dog walks. Enjoyed Southwold with fish and chips in the sunshine! Visits to The Victoria at Earl Soham and the Crown at Stowupland pubs.

Such a great cottage for dogs and their owners. The dog field was great and Charlie couldn’t wait to go there and he loved the walk along to the pretty Church. The breakfast basket was amazing, bacon was good! Suffolk is such a dog friendly place. We loved the coffee at Honey & Harvey in Woodbridge, most shops welcomed our dog and there are masses of fabulous walks. We enjoyed Woodbridge, Aldeburgh, Orford and Dunwich Heath. We hope to be back as there is so much more of Suffolk to see!

A lovely Barn – everything you need and more.  The Dog at Grundisburgh is well worth a visit – lovely food.

We enjoyed every minute of our first visit to Wood Farm Barns. The little extras make all the difference and set WFB aside from other holiday lets. A walk to Crowfield Church and through to the airfield allowed us to see much wildlife.

A wonderful, relaxing stay in Orwell Barn. The best day was a visit to Aldeburgh with fish and chips on the beach in sunny weather – mild too!

I have stayed here five times now and it still is amazing. I love the breakfast basket and so did the dogs.  The hot tub is the highlight of this lovely place.  We will be back soon and when we do come back we will go inside that hot tub!
