GDPR statement

by Carl Scott, May 8, 2018

On 25th May 2018 a new law concerning Data Protection, called General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR as it is known came into force.

This page is just our view on the law and how we have approached it. We have a fully Privacy Policy on the matter HERE.

We believe this is a great thing and is aimed at protecting us all against issues such as the Cambridge Analytica debacle, famous in the Spring of 2018. We are a proper, honest business, not an app or a virtual entity.

We absolutely never share your info and it is purely and simply so we can keep you informed of our regular Free Break Competitions, Exclusive VIP Offers, Cancellations, Events, Places of Interest to you, and News from around the beautiful County of Suffolk. It is called Marketing. We keep you informed of the good stuff so that you may consider us when making your holiday and short break decisions.

We researched the issue of GDPR for some time prior to the law coming in and in an  interview on BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast on Friday 27 April 2018, the Deputy Information Commissioner Steve Wood said that if a company “already has an existing relationship” then we “can continue to send marketing information”. For this reason we have not asked our existing database to opt in, but we do advise you once again that if you wish to never hear from us again then just unsubscribe.

For details of where we store information, please see our full Privacy Policy HERE.

If you do not wish to hear about the things I mentioned you can opt out now or at any time simply by unsubscribing.

We do not bombard you. This is just a small, independent business, working hard to promote escapes from the norm in Suffolk; that’s all. We don’t ever pass your details to anyone else. If at any point you no longer wish to receive these emails then feel free to unsubscribe or email me back and I will do it for you. You will never hear from us again.

We would love to stay in touch with you but it is your choice. We have built our database in a very professional and responsible way and continually given you the opportunity to not hear from us again. If you choose to ‘leave’ us then I wish you all the best for the future and hope you have enjoyed reading what we have had to say.

I hope to be sharing far more interesting things with you for many years to come.
