Alde Barn

SLEEPS 2 : Alde Barn is a proper little chocolate-box retreat, tucked away in a quiet corner of our meadow right by the fish pond. Guests always tell us it is the perfect romantic hideaway, especially with that winding timber staircase leading up to a mezzanine bedroom and a solid wood sleigh bed. Downstairs, you have got a farmhouse-style kitchen with a range-style cooker and a stable door you can leave wide open to let the fresh air in while you have your morning coffee.

The big draw here is the private, enclosed garden with its own covered Hot Tub room, tucked away from the rest of humanity, so you can have a soak in peace even if it is tipping it down outside. Just like all our places, your dogs stay for free and have their own two-acre paddock to charge around in just across the lane. It is a warm, character-filled bolthole where you can just shut the world out, light the log burner or BBQ, and properly relax.

• We warmly welcome up to three dogs in all our Barns and Cottages, each with a fully enclosed garden.
• We also have a secure two-acre meadow gives dogs space to run and play, with a smaller area for older or nervous dogs.

Mature trees, a koi and goldfish pond, and a waterfall feature create a peaceful setting. There’s a shared decked area by the pond – perfect for sunsets.

We’re down a pretty country lane just outside the Suffolk village of Stonham Aspal; there are lovely walks and cycle routes straight from the Barns, and the Suffolk Coast is around 30 minutes away. Bikes and free WiFi are included.
