Two ‘new’ Holiday Cottages with Hot Tubs in Suffolk
Woodfarm Barns has become synonymous with specialising in Dog Friendly Holiday Cottages with Hot Tubs, and we have just ‘upped our game’. Again!
Woodfarm House has always been advertised as a ‘large, 500-year-old Farmhouse’. Over the years it has been popular with families and groups of friends, and has served us well. However, most of our guests are couples looking for a romantic getaway. For many years now our Barns for couples have been incredibly popular, thanks in no small part to the fact most of the cottages have their own luxurious Hot Tub.
We like to give you guys the things we know you love, and the demand for romantic Holiday Cottages with Hot Tubs has always been far greater than a larger place for family gatherings…. so the Farmhouse is now two completely separate, individual Cottages, with a super-luxury Hot Tub in each garden! You demand, we will supply!
You can choose either of these ‘new’ Cottages for your next romantic break, as they are both aimed at the couples market. Oh, and one of the most common questions on this subject is “Can we use our Woodfarm Hot Tub all year round?”
Both Cottages are of course Dog Friendly and, as with all our properties, we welcome up to three Dogs in each. As these are formed from our gorgeous old Farmhouse, these two ‘new’ Cottages are definitely the premier properties at Woodfarm HQ.
I have been saying for years that it is much easier to sync two diaries for a weekend, midweek, or full week’s break, than it is to sync six or seven diaries. And this is why our Suffolk Barns have always seen higher occupancy. I commissioned some research before I started the business, and East of England Tourism confirmed this. The highest demand for overnight stays in Suffolk is from couples. The other thing that you look for as our ‘audience’ is Holiday Cottages with Hot Tubs. So, you demand and we will supply. Simples.
We didn’t really have to do much as the Farmhouse was two Cottages before, so there was no building work to be done. We just needed to divide it and soundproof it again. It’s now two Cottages, each with one bedroom featuring a King-Sized bed, a bathroom, lounge, dining room, and kitchen. Outside, each has its own, fully enclosed garden with a covered garden room featuring its own large Hot Tub, for your enjoyment and relaxation.
The wealth of centuries-old exposed oak beams gives each Cottage such a magical and cosy, yet opulent feel. You really will be stepping back 500 years when you come to stay.
Woodfarm House: The largest of our Holiday Cottages with Hot Tubs
Retaining the name ‘Woodfarm House‘ for the larger of the two Cottages, it has the original lounge, with its big open fire and dining room snug. It also has the original Farmhouse Kitchen, featuring the large, cast-iron range cooker and Butler sink. Upstairs you have a bedroom, with a King-Sized bed, a dressing room, and a bathroom featuring a ‘Ball & Claw’ footed roll-top bath. Outside, the fully enclosed courtyard garden has a seating and BBQ area, and as we’ve said, your own Private Hot Tub in a covered Garden Room (seen in the featured photo at the top).
Meadow View Cottage: The second largest of our Holiday Cottages with Hot Tubs
We named the other half of the property ‘Meadow View Cottage’. We didn’t want to over-think it, and as it has a landing window looking over towards the two-acre dog-walking meadow, we hit upon that name. The lounge has a large inglenook fireplace and leads through a dining area separated by oak beams, then on to your kitchen, and downstairs shower room with its large walk-in ‘rainfall’ shower. Upstairs is a bedroom with a King-Sized bed. Outside, the large, fully enclosed garden to the front has a seating and BBQ area, and your own Private Hot Tub in a covered Garden Room tucked into the trees.
Each of the two ‘new’ Holiday Cottages with Hot Tubs has its own, private, off-road parking too.

Dog Owners
Woodfarm is known for being very Dog friendly, with fully enclosed gardens, and we welcome up to three dogs in each of our Holiday Cottages with Hot Tubs. We even leave dog treats as well as a delicious local breakfast basket for the humans!
We also have a huge fully secure two-acre meadow for our four-legged guests to run around and play with each other, along with seating for the two-legged guests to chat as well! There’s a smaller section inside for nervous or older dogs to exercise on their own.
It lies on the outskirts of the village of Stonham Aspal on the Suffolk Tourist Route, along which many popular and interesting places are found, it is within easy striking distance of the lovely Suffolk Coastal destinations like Southwold, Thorpness, Dunwich Heath, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Orford.
All our luxury holiday cottages are down a tiny countryside lane, a few hundred yards outside the village. Bikes are provided FREE of charge for you to enjoy these pretty lanes, as well as hundreds of DVDs, CDs and Books!
