Woodfarm House Finer Details
Entering through the kitchen door, you are greeted by your large farmhouse kitchen, with its big range cooker, butler sink, and an old, informal farmhouse table to sit around for a natter. The hall leads through to the spacious sitting room with its beautiful inglenook fire place and a further ‘snug’, which is your dining room.
The wealth of centuries old exposed oak beams give this house such a magical and cosy, yet opulent feel. You really will be stepping back in time when you come to stay. Do be mindful that people were a lot shorter 500 years ago; taller guests may have to watch their heads in one or two places!
A quirky staircase leads from the lounge up to your bedroom with its king-sized bed. There’s also a dressing room, which leads through to your bathroom, with its wonderful ‘ball & claw’ footed roll-top slipper bath.
Hot Tub Heaven
Outside this holiday cottage in Suffolk you have a fully enclosed private ‘courtyard’ garden, with a fabulous ‘indoor outdoor’ room, with your luxury Hot Tub, as well as a charcoal BBQ, and table and chairs for Al Fresco dining.
For your convenience, there’s also a really smart outside shower, right next to your Private Hot Tub.
Dog Owners
Woodfarm House is ‘dog-friendly’ with an enclosed kitchen garden, and we accept up to 3 dogs. We even leave dog treats as well as a delicious local breakfast basket for the humans!
We also have a huge fully secure two acre meadow for our four-legged guests to run around and play with each other, along with seating for the two-legged guests to chat as well! There’s a smaller section inside for nervous or older dogs to exercise on their own.
Your Cottage lies on the outskirts of the village of Stonham Aspal on the Suffolk Tourist Route, along which many popular and interesting places are found, it is within easy striking distance of the lovely Suffolk Coastal destinations like Southwold, Thorpness, Dunwich Heath, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Orford.
All our luxury holiday cottages are down a tiny countryside lane, a few hundred yards outside the village. Bikes are provided FREE of charge for you to enjoy these pretty lanes.

More reasons to choose Woodfarm House
Woodfarm House is an idyllic country Cottage – if we do say so ourselves – that was built in the 15th century. It offers a country kitchen, king size bed and has the capacity to sleep two guests. It features a large living room with an open fireplace, and a separate dining room, which makes it a perfect couples retreat. On the exterior of the house, Woodfarm House has a tranquil courtyard garden where the private hot tub resides in an ‘indoor-outdoor room’. Ultimately, Woodfarm House can be best described as a “cosy 15th-century lodge with a hot tub to rent in Suffolk”.
Hot tubs and stress – Studies have shown that hot tubs and other forms of hydrotherapy can help to reduce stress levels. In this way, your time in a hot tub at Woodfarm Barns actually counts as a form of stress relief.
