The results confirmed what we long suspected: location and surroundings are the top priorities for holidaymakers.

We appreciate everyone who participated in our polls, contributing to a clearer understanding of booking motivations. Our multiple-choice and open-ended responses provided valuable insights, and we’ve compiled all the details in another dedicated blog post.

The results showed that 52% of respondents ranked location and surroundings as their top consideration. This reaffirms what we focus on at Woodfarm Barns & Barges—offering stunning locations, whether in the heart of Suffolk, along the iconic coast at Snape Maltings and Woodbridge, or even further afield in the breathtaking landscapes of Tuscany. From scenic countryside walks to peaceful retreats, we provide the perfect setting for a memorable stay.

Features and quality were the next most important factor, garnering 19% of the vote. At Woodfarm, we pride ourselves on creating luxurious, well-equipped spaces that blend rustic charm with modern comforts. One of the most surprising findings was that reviews on trusted platforms ranked lowest, with just 5% of the vote. While we expected this to play a larger role, we are still proud to have over 1,200 five-star reviews across TripAdvisor, Facebook, and Google.
