Alde Barn finer details

You enter this holiday cottage in Suffolk into a farmhouse-style kitchen with a pretty antique farm table next to the stable door entrance so that in fine weather you can open up the door for a lovely airy start to the day and round to your ‘Indoor, Outdoor Garden Room’ with your very own private luxury Hot Tub.

The fully equipped kitchen is well laid out with ample work surface, a range cooker, Belfast sink, microwave and fridge. Part of the attraction of our premium meadow Barn, Alde has a Nespresso coffee machine and coffee capsules.

Outside this holiday cottage in Suffolk, you have a large, fully enclosed private garden laid mainly to lawn, with the fabulous ‘indoor outdoor’ room as we’ve said, with your luxury Hot Tub, as well as a patio with BBQ and table and chairs for Al Fresco dining.

The kitchen area of your luxury holiday cottage in Suffolk leads through to an intimate living area with a comfy, squishy sofa, lovely log-burning fire and smart TV.

The luxurious main room has very a high vaulted ceiling with huge, exposed oak beams and a winding hand-made timber staircase that leads up to a charming mezzanine bedroom with a gorgeous old solid wood double sleigh bed.

There is a well-organised shower room on the ground floor with a good-sized fixed rose ‘watering can’ style shower, loo and hand basin with luxury hand soap.

There is ample off-road parking.

Alde Barn has cosy underfloor heating at no extra cost. We can provide logs for your wood-burning fire, which we offer at cost as your holiday cottage is already heated.

Dog Owners

Because of our fully enclosed gardens we are happy to welcome dogs in all our luxury holiday Barns. We normally welcome up to three dogs. We even leave dog treats, as well as a delicious local breakfast basket for the humans!

We also have a huge fully secure two-acre meadow for our four-legged guests to run around and play with each other, along with seating for the two-legged guests to chat as well! There’s a smaller section inside for nervous or older dogs to exercise on their own.

Hot-Tub Luxury in Suffolk

Alde Barn is one of our holiday cottage Barns in the secluded meadow beside The Granary, Woodfarm House and Meadow View Cottage.

The Barns nestle seamlessly into mature trees, with a Koi and Goldfish pond, and a waterfall feature to create a peaceful, intimate environment to relax and unwind in. As well as your own private, fully enclosed garden, there are landscaped grounds and a decked area overlooking the fish pond, which is a great spot to enjoy the sunset.

We are down a pretty country lane just outside the little Suffolk village of Stonham Aspal.

All our Barns are unique in their luxury decor and we have a choice of ground-floor and mezzanine (like this one) or first-floor options. They are all traditional Suffolk barns in style with black weatherboarding, oak trusses and beams and floorboards or slate flooring. Woodfarm House and Meadow View Cottage are the two halves of our 500-year-old thatched Suffolk farmhouse. Again, both are completely private.

There are wonderful walks and cycling straight from the Barns and the pretty Suffolk Coast is just 30 minutes away. Bikes are also available free of charge, along with free WIFI.

All our meadow barns are named after nearby Suffolk rivers. The river Alde winds its way through from the sea, inland at nearby Aldeburgh, which is a really popular destination for so many of our holiday cottage guests.
