Granary Barn guided tour

The Granary Barn guided tour of the virtual tour

This is a video that I shot, giving you a guided tour of the virtual tour of The Granary Barn. It’s part of our series of ‘You Ask, We Answer’ videos and blogs that cover loads of our FAQ’s, or Frequently Asked Questions, but with a (we hope) a really helpful deeper dive.

At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.

Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.

This is what I said…

Introduction

Hello, I’m Carl, and today I’m excited to take you on a guided tour of The Granary Barn using our virtual tour feature. This blog post will walk you through the steps to access and navigate our virtual tours, and give you an in-depth look at The Granary Barn itself.

Accessing the Virtual Tour

To start your virtual tour, simply scroll down to the relevant section on our homepage. You’ll see a button labeled “Take the Virtual Tour.” Click on this button to be directed to our virtual tours page where you can explore all of our properties.

Maximizing Your Experience

For the best experience, I recommend clicking the “Full Screen” button. This makes the virtual tour easier to navigate and more immersive. You can use your cursor or trackpad to pan around, or if you’re on a tablet or phone, use your finger to drag the view in any direction.

Exploring The Granary Barn

The Exterior

Once you’re on the virtual tours page, you can navigate to The Granary Barn by clicking on its icon. This will take you to the garden of The Granary Barn. The garden is spacious and private, with mature hedging all around. There’s a patio area and the lawn extends around to the back of the Barn. You also have your own parking area right in front.

The Interior

Living Room

Entering The Granary Barn, you’ll find yourself in the cosy living room. The room features a comfortable sofa, an armchair, and plenty of original beams, adding to the rustic charm. A wood burner sits in the corner, perfect for those chilly evenings. The room also has a TV and a dining table, leading seamlessly into the galley kitchen.

Kitchen

The fully equipped kitchen includes a built-in fridge with a freezer compartment, a cooker and hob, a toaster, a microwave, a kettle, and an espresso machine. There’s plenty of counter space and storage, with all the necessary crockery, cutlery, and glassware neatly stored in the cupboards. A lovely Belfast sink adds to the farmhouse feel.

Upstairs

Bedroom

Heading upstairs, you’ll find the bedroom, the highlight of which is a stunning window made from oak, handcrafted by local joiners. The window lets in plenty of light, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. The room features a double bed, bedside tables, and ample storage space including a cupboard with shelves and hanging space. The vaulted ceiling and custom-made chandeliers from The Barking Forge in Suffolk add a touch of elegance.

Shower Room

The shower room is equipped with a quadrant shower, a window for natural light, a sink, and a toilet. The combination of modern amenities with traditional features makes this barn a comfortable and charming place to stay.

Additional Features

The Granary Barn, with its 300-year history, offers a unique blend of old-world charm and modern comforts. From the original beams to the handmade lighting fixtures, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to enhance your stay.
