Where can I buy fresh local produce during my Woodfarm stay?

Great question, and one we get asked often! Here are some fantastic options:

  • Woodfarm Barns Area:
    • Alder Carr Farm (near Needham Market or Creeting St Mary): This family-run gem is just a 10-minute drive away. They’ve been around for decades and also have a great coffee shop and restaurant.
    • Debenham: Just 10 minutes from the barns, you’ll find Palfrey & Co Butchers – a fantastic place for high-quality meats. Let them know you’re staying at Woodfarm! Nearby, there’s also a small family-run fruit and veg shop, a local bakery, and a Co-op stocked with regional produce.
  • Onderneming Barge (Snape Maltings):
    • Visit Yoxford Deli – a short walk from the barge. They stock a mix of international delights and local produce.
    • Friday Street Farm is just 4 miles away on the main road to Snape Maltings, offering a range of fresh goods.
  • Twee Gebroeders Barge (Woodbridge):
    • Woodbridge is brimming with options: butchers, bakers, and other specialty shops are all within easy reach. Heading toward Melton, you’ll also find another great butcher.
  • Casa Trebbio (Tuscany):
    • At the bottom of the hill, you’ll find a small shop selling local bread, meats, and cheeses. In nearby Ponte Mariano, you’ll discover even more options for fresh, regional delights.

No matter where you’re staying, there’s plenty of fresh, local food to enjoy during your Woodfarm adventure.
