5 of our Favourite Cafes in Suffolk

If you’re out and about, especially meandering through the beautiful villages and towns of Suffolk, a café will likely be a much-needed pitstop. The only problem, of course, is that there are so many to choose from. So, to help you out, we’ve put together a list of five of our favourite cafes from different corners of Suffolk so that you’re not short of them for when you’re visiting our fine county

David’s of Sudbury

Located in the heart of South Suffolk, David’s of Sudbury is not just a café but a branded bar and bistro. With an extensive menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and with various drinks to choose from, David’s is the perfect place for a spot of refreshment or a meal when you’re out and about. Rated the 2^nd best café in Suffolk on Tripadvisor, it’s certainly worth checking out.

Common Room – Framlingham 

Framlingham is a picture-perfect Suffolk town, with the main feature of it being the castle that dominates its skyline. Now, just a short stroll away from the castle, you’ll find the Common Room. Rated 4^th on TripAdvisor, this café is excellent for its range of food and drinks. So, next time you’re visiting Framlingham, why not check out The Common Room?

Tucked into the centre of the small, historic town of Bungay, Earsham Street Café sits inside of a building dating back to the 17^th Century. Standing in the shadows of the Bigod Castle remains, Earsham Street Café offers breakfast, lunches as well as cakes and scones throughout the day. The perfect place to relax, we can’t recommend this spot highly enough! Whilst you’re there you can visit our friends at Earsham Street Deli too!

The Grazing Sheep – Ipswich

For some people, views aren’t that important, but for others, they are extremely important. Now, for a café with an excellent view, why not go to The Grazing Sheep? Sat on the iconic Ipswich Waterfront, this is very much a go-to when it comes to a well-deserved refreshment or a bite to eat in Ipswich. Serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea and a wide range of nibbles, this place is the perfect antidote to a day out in the bustling town centre.

Southwold Tearoom – Southwold

It’s impossible to deny that Southwold is one of the prettiest Suffolk towns, and its location is even better – it’s found right on the Suffolk Heritage coast. So, it’s no surprise that one of their cafes features on our list of 5 of our favourite cafes throughout the county of Suffolk. This one, just around the corner from the beautiful beach and Southwold Pier as well as the boating lake, has a huge range of activities going on throughout the year and offers everything you would expect from a typical café. Featuring highly on a list of the best cafes along the Suffolk coastline, you really won’t go wrong visiting the tea room when exploring Southwold.
