First review of our Tuscan treasure!

Having spent years getting this place ready, thanks to a pandemic and one or two random challenges, October 2023 finally saw our first Woodfarm guests coming to stay. Wendy and Frank are regulars at Woodfarm HQ in Suffolk, and as you will see, absolutely loved their stay at Casa Trebbio!

I’ll belt up now and let them do the talking:

“Casa Trebbio

A hidden romantic hideaway tucked into a mountainside. After an adventurous winding mountain drive, and climbing the steep cobble path… you are breath-taken by the stunning view. Wow is the only word to describe the panoramic ever-changing vision below. By day olive trees and mountains with a quaint church steeple that gently chimes, at night the lights of the villages literally twinkle, and when the clouds drop you get whispers of mist playing with the scenery.

The Villa is more than a place to stay, it’s been designed with love and good taste, a wonderful ambience. Breakfast on the terrace is such a lovely experience, the kitchen well equipped. The dining room a perfect setting for a romantic candle-lit meal. And the view from the bathroom is unreal. Very comfy bed. This is a base to switch off and cook and enjoy the gorgeous produce from the local store.

Situated not far from Lucca, parking just outside the walls, you enter the cutest city of shops and restaurants lost in time. We ate at a lovely oval shaped piazza and time just stopped.

Pisa is where to take your iconic photos, seeing it for real is quite something.

Florence is very exciting, a full day out, leave to the end of your stay as you are more confident on the roads and driving up the mountain at night. Culture, shopping and food, this is shopping paradise and there is even an old bridge with a town of jewellery shops built on.

Overall this is a place for the romantic adventurous couple. Everyone is so friendly and Carl has built an oasis that feels like home. Bellissimo!

“Wow” is all I can say after they sent me that!

It’s taken me years to get to this point with the house because of Covid etc, and I’m just blown away by their feedback! I’m chuffed beyond words to finally get our first review, some five years after buying the house! Here’s some of their lovely photos, that they very kindly sent me too…
