Hello, it’s Carl from Woodfarm, and today I’m excited to clarify a common question we get asked: do we have lodges in Suffolk? The simple answer is yes, but let’s delve into what we actually offer and why we might just have the perfect ‘lodge’ for your next getaway.

What’s in a Name? Barns, Cottages, and “Lodges”

While we don’t specifically label our accommodations as “lodges,” many guests seeking a lodge-like experience will find exactly what they’re looking for in our Barns and Cottages. Currently, I’m at Meadow View Cottage, one of our charming properties, which, along with Woodfarm House – a period Cottage – offers a cosy, traditional stay. We also feature six dog-friendly Barns, each embracing the quintessential Suffolk barn aesthetic with black weatherboarded exteriors and stylish interiors.

Dog-Friendly Stays with a Touch of Luxury

All our properties, from Barns to Cottages, are dog-friendly, welcoming up to three dogs each. Most accommodations come with private hot tubs – seven out of our eight properties, to be precise – with only The Granary Barn as the exception. Each Barn and Cottage also boasts a fully enclosed garden, ensuring privacy and security for you and your pets.

Exploring the Accommodations

Here’s a closer look at what each type of accommodation has to offer:

• Barns: Traditional Suffolk Barns with modern interiors, private hot tubs (except The Granary Barn), and enclosed gardens.
• Meadow View Cottage: Features a secluded hot tub located in a covered garden room at the end of the garden.
• Woodfarm House: Offers cosy interiors and a private hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Suffolk.
