Crowfield Church
This is one of the last remaining timber-framed Churches in Suffolk and is well worth a look. It’s set back from the road and isn’t actually in Crowfield village as such, but is on the Stonham Aspal road.
It’s surrounded by lovely open fields, with two choices of public footpaths going from the Church across the fields beyond.
If you want a nice walk, it’s about 2 miles or so down to Coddenham.
There’s not a lot I can tell you about the church itself other than to say it’s very pretty and with its exposed timbers, a rather imposing sight, but for loads more information check out the piece by Simon Knott on the Suffolk Churches website.
Crowfield Church, Stonham Road, Crowfield – Don’t know a postcode for the church but it’s half a mile down from me! IP6 9TH.
