Years ago, a friend told me I reminded him of a book called Start With Why by Simon Sinek. He said it was all about how great businesses don’t begin with what they do, or how they do it – they begin with why they do it. And it stuck with me, because that’s exactly how Woodfarm started. It’s still how we do things now.

This place has never been about numbers on a spreadsheet. It’s never been about filling units. It’s about a feeling. About the moments that matter, and the little pockets of peace that remind people of who they are.

So before we had Barns, or Barges, or Cottages – before we had hundreds of five-star reviews or returning guests or dogs wagging their tails from the back seats – we had a reason. A real, personal why.

We wrote it down. We called it our manifesto. And we’ve never strayed from it.
