The Woodfarm Dog Stick Library
By Carl Scott
Our inaugural collection of canine chewable timber is a curated quartet of nature’s finest. Each piece, plucked from the sylvan bounty of Suffolk, offers a nuanced experience for the discerning hound.

Situated just next to the bike shed at Woodfarm HQ, we have an exquisite selection for you. From top to bottom here are their reviews on StickAdvisor …
1. The Oak Grand Cru
A robust, full-bodied stick of impressive girth, exuding an air of authority. Initial gnaw reveals a deep, complex structure with layered tannins of bark and a satisfying crunch mid-stick. Long chewability and a finish that lingers luxuriously on the tongue. Recommended for the experienced chewer who appreciates the gravitas of a mature oak.
2. The Willow Blanc
Light, airy, almost flirtatious in character. Its supple texture allows for easy chewing with delicate undertones of meadow and riverbank. A charming entry-level stick that pairs delightfully with a breezy spring afternoon and a wagging tail. Its short chew finish leaves one yearning for another.
3. The Alder Reserve
A slender yet confident specimen, with a pale bark that speaks of youthful exuberance. On first chew, one is greeted with bright, zesty notes of fresh sap, followed by a subtle earthiness lingering on the molars. Particularly well-suited to dogs of refined palate seeking an invigorating woodland finish. Best enjoyed in the mid-morning, post-walk.
4. The Beech Vintage 2025
A stately, elegant piece, rich with nutty aromas and a hint of moss. Bold yet balanced, with a firm bite giving way to smooth undertones as the chew progresses. Considered by many the pinnacle of stick craftsmanship, its enduring appeal makes it the connoisseur’s choice for a Sunday lounge.
We’ve had two new additions since I shot the video above;
5. The Maple Rosé
A playful, easy-going stick with a blush of youthful charm. Sweet sap undertones mingle with subtle grassy notes, delivering a refreshing chew that dances lightly across the gums. Best suited for dogs with a sociable temperament, this stick is as welcome at a summer picnic as it is on an impromptu romp across the lawn. Its crisp chewability makes it the perfect aperitif stick.
6. The Chestnut Noir
Dark, brooding, and mysteriously alluring. A stick of depth and gravitas, with a rugged outer bark that yields slowly to a determined chew. Flavours of damp woodland floor and toasted nut shell emerge, rewarding patience with a lingering, velvety finish. Ideal for the contemplative hound, this is the stick to be savoured by moonlight after a long day’s adventure.
