In November 2024, The Times spotlighted a fascinating trend: inland surfing in the UK. And here at Woodfarm, we’ve decided to ride the wave too. Well, we do like to jump on a bandwagon if there’s one passing by!

With limited facilities up in Scotland and near Birmingham, surfing is no longer just for coastal adventurers, and we have well and truly sewn up the south!

We’ve transformed our Koi pond into a surfer’s paradise. It’s the ultimate quirky addition to your Woodfarm experience.

But that’s not all. Our two Dutch Barges, Onderneming and Twee Gebroeders, are already on the water, and therefore surf-ready! Just pop on yer wetsuit, channel your inner surf dude, and jump overboard. Here’s a pic of me with a surfer buddy at Onderneming, moored at Snape Maltings.

And because no Woodfarm experience is complete without thinking of your furry family, we’ve even catered for surfer pups at Woodfarm HQ. Our bespoke “surfing waterfall” is perfect for canine shredders to practice their moves.
