Why We Don’t Accept Cats at Woodfarm
Hello, it’s Carl here! A question we occasionally get asked is whether or not we accept cats in our Barns, Cottages, and Barges. Unfortunately, the answer is no. Let me explain why.
Our Experience with Cats
In the past, I’ve accepted cats on two or three occasions, but unfortunately, it didn’t go well. The main issue has been that some cats, when placed in a new environment, can become stressed. This stress has led to problems like scratching leather sofas and other furniture, which, as you can imagine, is far from ideal. I’ve always tried to avoid charging for such damages, but it’s not a situation anyone wants to be in.

Because of these experiences, we’ve made the difficult decision not to accept cats in any of our properties. It’s not about being discriminatory—it’s simply about ensuring that our properties remain in the best possible condition for all of our guests.
