Coddenham Food Store & Deli

A great little deli also serving teas and coffees, Coddenham Food Store was re-opened in 2010 by Julia and Jane. They sell loads of great food and drink and try to stock as much local produce as possible.

As well as everyday items such as breakfast cereals, milk, etc., they have an exciting range of local bread, eggs, fruit and vegetables, as well as a wide variety of local meat and fish products. As I write I can still taste the amazing smoked ham that I just picked up, supplied by a local butcher. On the drink side, they have Suffolk fruit juices, as well as coffees, beers, wines and cyder, from Deepmills, Adnams, Hellhound and Aspalls to name but a few.

They stock superb paté from the Suffolk Paté Company (also based in Coddenham) which I have had on previous occasions. They also have a great range of jams, sauces, ketchups, chutneys, etc., again many of them locally produced.

They are open from 7.30am to 5.30pm on Monday to Friday and from 8.00am to 5.30pm on Saturday. There’s a Post Office within the store too and their opening hours, as well as details of forthcoming store events can be found on their website.

A great place to stop off for some nibbles and a coffee and only 3 miles from my door!
