Are your gardens suitable for reactive dogs?

This blog post introduces you to a video that I shot to answer the common question of “Are your gardens suitable for reactive dogs?. It’s also part of our You Ask, We Answer series, where we answer tons of FAQ’s and give you lots of information to help you get the most out of Suffolk.

At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.

Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.

This is what I said…

Staying at Woodfarm with Your Reactive Dog

Hello, it’s Carl, and this blog is all about staying at Woodfarm with reactive dogs. If you own a reactive dog or dogs, you’re probably wondering if Woodfarm is a suitable place for you to stay. We have done everything we can to ensure that your dogs are safe, happy, and secure in our Gardens. In this post, I’ll give you a tour of some of our spaces and explain how we’ve tailored them for reactive dogs.

Safe and Secure Gardens for Reactive Dogs

At Woodfarm, we’ve put a lot of thought into making our Gardens safe and welcoming for reactive dogs. Our spaces are designed to provide the privacy and security that your pets need to relax and enjoy their stay.

For example, Deben Barn is shielded by a thick hedge, and Gipping Barn features strategically placed Willow hurdles to obscure the view of the gate. This helps minimize the chances of your dog seeing other guests or dogs passing by, providing a sense of security.

Physical and Audible Barriers

One of our unique features is the use of natural barriers, such as Hedges and water features, between the properties. For example, between Orwell Barn and Stour Barn, we’ve created a lovely waterfall that acts as both a physical and audible barrier, helping to reduce noise and distractions from other areas.

Virtual Tours to Help You Choose

If you’re not sure which Barn, Cottage, or Barge would suit your dog best, you can take a virtual tour on our website. Simply visit our homepage, scroll down to the section titled “Help Yourself and Have a Sniff Around All Our Accommodation,” and click the “Take the Virtual Tour” button. From there, you can explore each of our properties, including our Cottages, Barges, and even our place in Tuscany.

Recommendations for Reactive Dogs

Here are a few of our top recommendations for reactive dogs:

  • Woodfarm House: This Barn has a high close-board fence around its Courtyard Garden, providing excellent privacy and security.
  • Meadow View Cottage: A very private and secure Garden with minimal foot traffic. It has a gate for access, but parking options inside or outside the gate help ensure your dog feels safe.

Not Sure? Give Us a Call!

If you have any doubts about which property is best for your reactive dog, please don’t hesitate to call me. My contact details are all over the website, and I’m always happy to discuss your specific needs and help you choose the perfect spot.
