Two night break for £200… straight to charity!

No, we didn’t start the year with an administrative error. We started the year with a raffle that allowed the winner to book a two night break at one of our Barns for rent for £200…that we sent straight to the chosen charity of the winner.

“Why on earth did you do this when January is already a quiet month in your industry and it’ll cost you more than a few quid?” I hear you ask.

Well, the simple answer is, sometimes we’re nice here at Woodfarm Barns and Barges. And what could be nicer than treating someone to a break to shake the Christmas blues whilst at the same time donating some cash to charity?

Setting out with modest expectations, we were fairly well blown away to receive almost a thousand entries – 986, to be exact! With such a large amount of interest, we decided it was only right to offer some additional consolation prizes that also benefited charities. As previously mentioned, sometimes we like to be nice!

After firing up the random number generator to pick a winner, we were pleased to provide our winner Tanya with the prize and sent £200 straight to her chosen charity, the Alzheimer’s Society United Against Dementia.

To recap, we provided our winner with a Barn of their choosing for two nights for £200 that we forwarded straight on to a charity of their choosing. This meant they got to enjoy:

  • A luxury Holiday Cottage
  • A delicious Breakfast Basket
  • A private Hot Tub
  • No extra charge for dogs on this occasion
  • Fully enclosed garden
  • Fully enclosed two acre meadow for dogs
  • Healthy dog treats (if they brought a dog)
  • Luxury cotton bedding and towels included
  • Smart TV
  • Free Wifi
  • Free Bikes
  • A warm glow as their chosen charity received £200

If you’re looking to shake the Christmas blues yourself, why not book a Barn for rent in Suffolk today? To make sure you don’t miss any future opportunities like this, we’d like to suggest you also sign up for our newsletter!
