Medical Detection Dogs charity in partnership with our Dog Friendly cottages
We are delighted to announce that our Dog Friendly Cottages business is working with another fabulous animal charity. Medical Detection Dogs harness the incredible power of canine noses to detect tiny odour traces in human diseases, speeding up the diagnosis of such things as diabetes and cancer!
Our partnership doesn’t stop any of the other charitable work we are doing with other charities, including the long-standing relationship with Wood Green and our dog-friendly holiday cottage business in sunny Suffolk.
I run Dog Friendly cottages so I’m not going to get all ‘medical’ on you, as frankly, the work they are doing blows my mind but please take a few minutes to read about what this amazing charity is doing on their website.
One of our guests actually put us in touch with each other and I’m glad they did! Having a dog-friendly cottage business, we attract so many dog owners looking for a luxury break with their four-legged friends and I’m constantly amazed at how many of them have connections with animal charities and associations aimed at helping hounds, as well as humans and Medical Detection Dogs, certainly is the most powerful combination of the two that I have seen!
I’m delighted to say that we are ‘partnering’ our Dog Friendly Cottages with them at Crufts 2016, aiming to bring further awareness and funds to the work they are doing, by providing a FREE Break.

All of our holiday cottages with hot tubs are dog-friendly and we accept up to 3 dogs in each. We have fully enclosed gardens so you can relax knowing that your dogs are safely nearby.

Set in the heart of the rural Suffolk countryside our Dog Friendly Cottages have wonderful walks directly from the door as well as within a short drive away. Situated down a country lane just outside the village of Stonham Aspal we are in the middle of nowhere, yet in the middle of everywhere. Being in the heart of Suffolk means that we have easy access for our holiday cottage guests, to all the popular places and attractions in Suffolk such as the stunning heritage coast with such towns as Southwold and Aldeburgh, as well as beautiful medieval villages like Lavenham and Long Melford in the other direction. You’re never more than half an hour or so from all the best places in Suffolk when you’re staying at Woodfarm Barns.
