Before we go any further we’ve got to tell you a bit more about the prize. You and your friends will be staying on our spacious and incredibly comfortable Barge, Onderneming. She’s moored at the amazing Snape Maltings in Suffolk, and is so big she has two separate galley/ saloons (kitchen/ diners to land-lubbers) This is NOT a narrowboat as you can see from the photos!

This spacious (and yet cosy) Barge is permanently moored and is such a big heavy whopper of a ship that she doesn’t ‘bob around’ or wiggle about. Think of her as a floating Holiday Cottage, with the most stunning views!

If you’re not familiar with Snape Maltings, it’s just ten minutes from the amazing seaside town of Aldeburgh, but you needn’t actually leave the Maltings if you don’t want to. There is a fabulous pub there, as well as another great one another ten minutes walk away. There are shops galore, and coffee shops, as well as our friends at Earsham Street Deli opening a brand new Deli there this year, ahead of your stay!

This competition is a little very bit special innit? We usually give away our fab prizes to couples, but this is a BIG BIRTHDAY so we’re giving away a BIG PRIZE. Onderneming sleeps six people, so you can take some friends with you and have your own celebration!

If you enter your friend’s details into the boxes below we’ll also enter them into the competition, so in theory, every friend you enter gives you another chance of staying aboard Onderneming for free! There are three proper double bedrooms, PLUS a double sofa-bed in the lower saloon, so this could be a FREE BREAK for three couples, or six singletons!

We will contact everybody you refer to come with you, as they’ll need to give us their permission to enter them into this fabulous competition with you. Let them know we’ll be in touch though and let them know there’s nothing spammy going on.

Terms & Conditions…

The prize is for a FOUR NIGHT MIDWEEK BREAK aboard Onderneming, between 31st October 2022 and 28th March 2023, subject to availability, excluding Christmas, New Year, Valentines, Easter, School and Bank Holidays etc. You have a full five months to take your FREE BREAK!

It’ll be for up to six adults and up to three dogs. Kids are welcome, but there must be at least two adults.

This competition will run from our 13th Birthday for six weeks, so around the end of June. We will draw our WINNER using an online random number generator. Every entry goes directly into a secure spreadsheet, with a corresponding number. We’ll email every entrant at that time, win or lose to let you know who won. There is no cash alternative.

Please note that we cannot announce the winner first on Social Media, it has to be by email. If we do not hear back from you within 24 hours of notifying you that you have won, we will pick another correct entrant and so on until someone responds. By entering you do consent to us announcing your name on Social Media once you have accepted your prize. We won’t divulge any personal info of course, it’ll just be your name. We’d obviously really appreciate it if you could then shout it from the rooftops though!

Victor Meldrew clause; If all that doesn’t suit you or you are of the opinion that “no-one ever wins these” then feel free to not enter and gaze at your navel instead. We have given away so many prizes over the years to some very happy people, but you’ll never be one of them if you bumble through life with Meldrew shaped chips on your shoulders.
