Where do we park at your Barns & Barges?

This blog post introduces you to a video that I shot to answer the common question of “Where do we park at your Barns & Barges?. It’s also part of our You Ask, We Answer series, where we answer tons of FAQ’s and give you lots of information to help you get the most out of Suffolk.

At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.

Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.

This is what I said…

A Guide to Parking at Woodfarm Barns, Cottages, and Barges

Hello, it’s Carl, and today I’m going to walk you through everything you need to know about parking at our Barns, Barges, and Cottages. Whether you’re staying at Woodfarm Barns or one of our unique Barges, we’ve got you covered. Here’s a detailed guide on where you can park at each of our locations.

Parking at Woodfarm Barns

When you arrive at Woodfarm HQ, you’ll find our main car park right off the lane. There are five dedicated parking spaces for our Barns – three double-length spaces and two single spaces. If you’re bringing two cars, just let us know beforehand, and we’ll reserve a spot for you to park one behind the other.

You can unload your luggage at the Barns upon arrival, then move your car back to the designated parking area. This way, you’ll have easy access without any hassle.

Parking at The Granary Barn, Woodfarm House, and Meadow View Cottage

For guests staying at The Granary Barn, you have parking directly in front of the Barn. If you’re at Meadow View Cottage, you’ll enter through the gate and find one space on the other side of the five-bar gate, with additional space inside the gate.

Guests at Woodfarm House can drive down the central driveway and park directly in front of the house, with space for a couple of cars.

Parking for Our Barges

Onderneming at Snape Maltings

At Snape Maltings, our Barge, Onderneming, has two reserved parking spaces right next to it, marked clearly for our guests. If you have more than two cars, there’s plenty of additional parking available at Snape Maltings, ensuring you’ll never be short of a spot.

Twee Gebroeders in Woodbridge

Twee Gebroeders, located in Woodbridge, is the only Barge where we don’t have private parking as it’s moored on a public quay. However, there’s ample parking available at the nearby station. Simply park at the railway station, which is just a short walk over the bridge from Twee Gebroeders. Parking here is managed via the Ringo app, and we’ll provide all the details before your stay.

Electric Vehicle Charging at Our Locations

For those driving electric vehicles, we’ve got you covered. We have EV charging points at our Barns, and you can charge up overnight using our 13-amp plug-and-play system. While it’s not rapid charging, it’s free, and we’ve got a video guide on this available on our YouTube Channel.
