What’s your 2 acre Dog meadow all about then?
This blog post introduces you to a video that I shot to answer the common question of “What’s your 2 acre Dog meadow all about then?”. It’s part of our series of ‘You Ask, We Answer’ videos and blogs. They cover loads of our FAQ’s, or Frequently Asked Questions, but with a (we hope) really helpful deeper dive.
At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.
Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.
This is what I said…
Hello, it’s Carl here, and I wanted to share a bit about our dog walking meadow. In this short video, you’ll see dogs enjoying their time in our secure and spacious meadow. But first, let me explain how we’ve ensured a safe environment for your furry friends.
Secure and Enclosed Space
As you enter the meadow, you’ll notice a gate that’s 1.2 meters high. The fencing surrounding the entire 2-acre meadow is also a minimum of 1.2 meters high, with tall hedging providing additional security. This means your dogs can run freely and safely within this enclosed space.
The Smaller Meadow
Within the larger meadow, there’s a smaller section designed for less agile or smaller dogs. This area is also securely fenced. The gate I mentioned earlier leads directly into this smaller meadow. We’ve created a track that we mow regularly, providing a nice path for you and your dogs to explore without being disturbed by more active dogs in the larger section.
The Large Meadow Area
Now, let’s take a look at the large section of the meadow. Here, we have a track that runs all the way around the perimeter. There’s a bench for you to sit and relax while your dogs burn off their energy. You’ll also find some tires for them to play with and posts set up for a weaving exercise.
Also, we have “Boaty McBoat Face,” an upturned boat with seating, adding a quirky touch to our meadow. The main attraction, though, is the vast expanse of grass where dogs can run wild and have fun.
Dogs Having Fun
And now, as if by magic, here are some clips of dogs enjoying themselves in the meadow. This snippet is part of a longer 5-minute video available on our channel, showcasing lots of dogs having a blast. We even had a drone capturing the action, much to the curiosity of the dogs!
