This blog post introduces you to a video that I shot to answer the common question of What do real guests think of Woodfarm? It’s also part of our You Ask, We Answer series, where we answer tonnes of FAQs and give you lots of information to help you get the most out of Suffolk.

At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Dog-friendly Holiday Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.

Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.

This is what I said…

A Heartwarming Stay at Woodfarm: A Guest’s Perspective

Hello, it’s Carl here at The Granary Barn with Gail and Allan, two of our most loyal guests. They’ve been visiting us for many years, bringing their beloved dog, Macey, along for countless memorable stays. Today, I’m sitting down with them to chat about their experiences and what keeps them coming back to Woodfarm.

What Attracted Gail and Allan to Woodfarm?

When I asked Gail and Allan what initially drew them to Woodfarm Barns, they recalled a picture of The Granary Barn that captured their hearts. The cosy inviting window stood out to them, and they thought it would be the perfect spot to bring a dog. A year later, after rescuing Macey, they decided to give it a try. They’ve been coming back ever since, with Macey loving every moment of it.

Memorable Moments at Woodfarm

For Gail and Allan, the most memorable aspect of their stays at Woodfarm is the warm and welcoming atmosphere. Gail mentioned, “It’s like staying with friends. You don’t feel like you’re just renting a cottage; it feels like home. It’s peaceful, and you can truly relax and do your own thing.” This sense of comfort and tranquility is something that stands out in all of their visits.

How Woodfarm Enhances Their Holiday Experience

When comparing Woodfarm to other holiday destinations they’ve visited, Gail and Allan highlighted a unique feature that makes Woodfarm stand out – the enclosed meadow. This space, especially valuable for nervous dogs like Macey, provides a safe area where they can relax without worry. This thoughtful addition has made a significant difference in their holiday experience, allowing both them and Macey to enjoy their time here to the fullest.

The Atmosphere of Woodfarm

When asked to describe the overall atmosphere of Woodfarm, Gail and Allan both agreed that it’s incredibly friendly and welcoming. “It’s like coming home, only better,” they said. This warm, homely feeling is a big part of why they keep returning year after year.

Would They Recommend Woodfarm to Others?

Gail and Allan are already enthusiastic ambassadors for Woodfarm, frequently recommending it to others. They tell people that it’s the best dog-friendly place they’ve ever visited. They also emphasise the quality of the Barns, the beautiful surroundings, and the helpfulness of the staff. As Gail put it, “It’s not the cheapest place, but you get what you pay for, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.”

The Importance of Customer Service and Hospitality

Customer service and hospitality are key elements that enhance Gail and Allan’s stays at Woodfarm. Although they’ve only had minor issues over the years, they’ve always been resolved quickly and efficiently. Gail shared an instance where the gate blew off during a storm, which could have been a major problem with Macey around. However, it was fixed immediately, ensuring their peace of mind.

Summing Up Their Experience in Three Words

When asked to describe their experience at Woodfarm in three words, Gail and Allan each provided thoughtful responses. Gail chose “comfortable, friendly, welcoming,” while Allan described it as “peaceful, home, beautiful.” These words perfectly encapsulate what makes Woodfarm such a special place for them.

Macey’s Take on Woodfarm

Lastly, we can’t forget Macey, their loyal companion. While she may not have words to share, her positive panting and tail wagging say it all – she loves it here at Woodfarm!
