Whilst we might not fully subscribe to the “new year, new me” philosophy at Woodfarm Barns and Barges, we are certainly fond of creating lists. Of course, to create a list, you need a good reason. And what better reason than the ringing of a new calendar year to fire up the creative juices? With this in mind, we’ve produced a list of 25 must-do activities to enjoy in Suffolk in 2025.
1. Wander Through Lavenham
Recognised as England’s best-preserved medieval village, Lavenham’s landscape of half-timbered houses and cobbled streets make it a must-visit destination when staying at one of our Barns and Barges for rent in Suffolk. 2. Explore Sutton Hoo
Step into history at Sutton Hoo, the Anglo-Saxon burial site that inspired the acclaimed Netflix film The Dig. The site’s exhibitions and guided tours are entirely unforgettable and you’ll be sure to take back fantastic memories after paying a visit.
3. Discover Southwold’s Pier
This quintessentially British seaside town features a charming pier, iconic beach huts, and the Adnams Brewery, where you can enjoy a pint with a view. Because, what goes better with a cold pint than a fantastic and flavoursome pint?
