The river Serchio near Woodfarm Tuscany

This blog post introduces you to a video that I shot specifically for our place in Tuscany, to highlight The river Serchio. It’s also part of our You Ask, We Answer series, where we answer tons of FAQ’s and give you lots of information to help you get the most out of your Tuscan stay with us.

At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.

Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.

This is what I said…

Discovering the Charm of the River Serchio Near Casa Trebbio

Nestled in the picturesque hills of Tuscany, our holiday home, Casa Trebbio, is surrounded by natural beauty and rich history. One of the most captivating features near Casa Trebbio is the River Serchio, a scenic waterway that flows through this stunning region and is a true delight for nature lovers and explorers alike.

The Path of the Serchio

The River Serchio winds its way through Lucca, a charming city that offers quintessential Italian experiences and beautiful architecture. From there, it continues toward Bagni di Lucca, a renowned spa town with hot springs and tranquil surroundings. Along its path, the river passes the iconic Ponte del Diavolo, or Devil’s Bridge, an impressive medieval structure that has fascinated visitors for centuries. We’ve shared a separate video exploring these locations, each rich with stories and scenic views.

Nature’s Beauty Around Casa Trebbio

As the River Serchio meanders through the area, it nurtures a diverse array of flora and fauna that enhance the tranquil atmosphere around Casa Trebbio. This lush environment provides endless opportunities for leisurely walks, scenic views, and moments of reflection—all just a short stroll down from our holiday home.
