The Suffolk ski slope near our barges
By admin
The mighty peaks of the mountains of Suffolk loom like gods over the country. The ever-white snow-covered tops of the Suffolk ski centre call skiers from all around the world to compete on their dangerous and challenging pistes, each more exhilarating and beautiful than the last… well, no, actually.
Suffolk is actually quite a flat county and not at all well-known as a Ski destination, but this is what makes Suffolk Leisure Park (previously known as Suffolk Ski Centre) so unique and important to the area.
Conveniently situated just on the outskirts of Ipswich and only a couple of miles from the town’s stunning marina, the Suffolk Leisure Park makes the perfect diversion from a relaxing time chilling out on a Woodfarm Barge as it is only ten minutes from Onderneming and fifteen from Twee Gebroeders.
Who would ever dream you could go skiing whilst on a holiday to the waterways of Suffolk?
The Suffolk Leisure Park is great fun for all the family, offering a wide range of activities and lessons covering everything from Skiing, Snowboarding and Tobogganing to a Climbing Wall, High Ropes and even Golf!
If, like me, just thinking about all that activity makes you feel like a good long rest then thankfully there is also ‘The Lodge’ Bar and Restaurant, where there’s a wide variety of food and drink on offer.
So if you’re planning a getaway on a Woodfarm Barge and fancy something completely different for a day then the Suffolk Leisure Park offers some excellent confidence-building activities for children and adults alike. There’s nothing better than having a great deal of fun while also learning to do something new or developing a new skill.
