Suffolk Family Carers supported by Woodfarm
Suffolk Family Carers is a wonderful charity, based just five miles away from Woodfarm Barns and doing amazing work throughout the county for 25 years.
They have been providing a range of services and raising awareness of Family Carer issues and they now help over 14,000 carers, minimising the hardships, difficulties and other challenges those carers face.
We held an auction in January 2013, giving a weekend away in one of our barns to the highest bidder, which got the ball rolling with £120 to the charity. We subsequently strengthened our links by donating three holiday cottage breaks to them. They are going to give away two of these in their raffle at the Suffolk Show and will auction one too!
Suffolk Family Carers have been chosen by BBC Radio Suffolk as their chosen charity for 2014 so they are certainly benefiting from this fabulous exposure.
With my musician hat on again, I also chose Suffolk Family Carers as our charity to receive all proceeds from a compilation CD of Suffolk musicians that I am heading up. We will be recording at the BBC studios in Ipswich and launching it at the Suffolk Show.
