Say Cheese! Pop-up Restaurant
No, you’re not having your photo taken but you do have the opportunity to sample some of the finest cheeses that Suffolk has to offer!
We are hosting our next Pop Up Restaurant event between 28th February and the 2nd March and to celebrate the success of last year’s culinary weekends, we now have a cheese course supplied by our lovely friends at The Earsham Street Deli in Bungay!
The owner, Michelle, provided our fabulous Festive Hampers in 2013. She also put together our guests’ hamper choices from the other food emporium she is involved with; The Deli at the Chilli Farm, just up the road from us and has just put together our new Hamper options so she knows her stuff!
Having seen just how well the two Pop Ups we hosted last year went, she has now offered to provide a cheese course and as this is at no cost to us, we are selling that on at the same price! In other words, it’s now a seven-course meal instead of six, still for just £55 per head! There’s even an interactive cookery class with our fabulous Chef, Mark Peters on the Saturday for just £65 per head, including lunch.
I’m not sure where one can savour a seven-course menu, devised and prepared by a Michelin Star trained Chef, for just £55. And in a unique, relaxed setting.
Michelle stocks around sixty cheeses at the Deli, including around ten local varieties, including;
Suffolk Gold, Suffolk Blue & Suffolk Brie – all made a few miles away in Coddenham by Jason & Katherine Salisbury of Suffolk Farmhouse Cheeses.
Hawkston & Shipcord made in Baylham by Rodwell Farm Dairy.
And Baron Bigod – a creamy Brie made in Bungay with unpasteurised milk by Jonny Crickmore.
Michelle and Mark will create a bespoke selection of some of the Earsham Street Deli’s wonderful local cheeses, together with local chutneys & accompaniments, all designed to compliment Mark’s fantastic menu.
