Pooch-Perfect Perks: For Happy Dogs and Happier Stays

At Woodfarm, we know that happy Dogs means happy owners, which is why we endeavour to ensure that everything is Pooch-Perfect. We have spent years building our reputation for being ultra Dog-friendly, and over those years we have continually added to the Woof-farm offer to make your Dog’s holiday every bit as memorable as yours.

As Dog owners, you are well versed in the art of packing your car with everything they need, but with the best will in the world things get forgotten, and sometimes the car isn’t big enough any more! With this in mind, we have done what we can to take care of every eventuality, with a ton of extras just in case.

We have many of these items for every furry friend of Woodfarm, but some of the larger things you may want to book with us if you’d rather not pack them. If in doubt, give us a shout!

So without further ado, here’s what we do to make Dogs, and their owners happy;

Dogs stay completely FREE
In all honesty I don’t suppose your Dog cares about this one, but it does mean there’s more money to spend on treats, which they do care about!

Fully Enclosed Private Gardens

With fully enclosed gardens at all our Barns, you can be sure your dogs are happy and safe when you come to stay at Woodfarm Barns. You can read more about our fully enclosed gardens here.

Pooch Paddock

Our four-legged guests have been enjoying our meadow for years. The dogs get to run around in 2 acres, mostly set to long wild grasses and wild flowers, with a path mown all around the perimeter. They go bonkers and make new friends! Take a look at our fully enclosed communal meadow.

Mucky Pups Shower Stations

All of our Barns & Cottages have outside facilities with hot & cold taps and Dog shampoo. Drizzly days with puddles & muddy fields? Not a problem. We laugh in the face of the British weather! Our Dog Showers are the perfect antidote for your filthy fur-babies. Read all about them here.

Dog treats waiting for every pooch

We leave a jar in your Barn waiting for your dogs when you arrive. Yummy, healthy treats from our Pawtners Doodledales.

Dog Hamper option

If you’d like to order a Doggy Hamper too, then just drop us a line and we’ll sort that out. They have a handful of other lovely dog treats to enhance your dogs’ experience. They’re just £15 each.

Bowls

We have a number of bowls at each property so you don’t need to bring yours.

Dog Towels
We have plenty of these so you don’t need to bring yours or if you need more, you’ll find them in the Bike Shed at Woodfarm HQ.

Woodfarm branded silicone travel dog bowls

Every dog owner coming to stay will get one of our handy collapsible silicone travel dog bowls. Your dogs can now get a drink of water on the go and in style, and be the envy of all the other dogs around!

Dog Crate

We have crates available at Woodfarm Barns so you don’t need to bring yours if you don’t want to. We can arrange to have them at the Barges with at least two weeks notice, purely due to logistics.

Dog Buggy

We have a stroller available for elderly or disabled dogs at Woodfarm Barns. Please advise us in advance if you would like to book this. There’s no charge.

Spare collars and leads

We have a selection available if needed, in a variety of sizes.

Dog Bed

If space is tight in the car, then we can supply a Dog bed for the duration of your holiday.

Dog Car Ramp
Available for elderly or disabled dogs at Woodfarm Barns.

Dog Tags

Pop these on your Dog’s collar for the duration of their holiday. They can wear them with pride, and they may come in handy if they get lost during your stay.

Doggy life jackets

Your Barge is secure once the Dogs are inside, but in case you’re worried, we do have Doggy life jackets on board.

Doggy First Aid Kit

Stair Gate
We occasionally get asked by guests if we have a way of blocking the stairs in our open plan properties with mezzanine bedrooms (Alde, Gipping, and Orwell Barns). The answer is yes we do. Just ask us in advance if you need it, and we’ll make sure it’s there waiting for you.
