Hello, it’s Carl, and today I want to share a delightful spot with you—Needham Lake. Oddly enough, this beautiful lake is located right on the edge of Needham Market, which is quite a clever bit of marketing!

As you approach Needham Lake, you’ll find a tea room and a playground on the left-hand side. The playground is perfect for families, and behind it, there’s a huge free car park. So, no need to worry about finding a parking spot—you’ll always find space here.

Discover the River Gipping

Just ahead, you’ll come across a charming bridge that crosses over the River Gipping. Fun fact: at Woodfarm, we named all of our Barns in the meadow after Suffolk rivers, and this is one of them! The River Gipping adds to the tranquil atmosphere of the area, though the playground might be a bit lively for those seeking peace.

The Beauty of Needham Lake

Needham Lake itself is a stunning and serene place, brimming with wildlife. The lake offers a circular walk that is not overly large—probably around 20 minutes to half an hour, depending on your pace. It’s a lovely stroll where you can connect with nature and enjoy the abundant birdlife that calls the lake home.

Needham Lake is just about 10 minutes from Woodfarm HQ, making it a perfect little trip out for a peaceful walk and some time in nature.
