Luxury Holiday Cottages in Suffolk

We have seven luxury self-catering holiday cottages in the heart of the rural Suffolk countryside.

From our stunning 500-year-old luxurious thatched farmhouse to our six holiday cottage Suffolk barns, we can accommodate anything from a romantic weekend for two, to a full on family celebration for up to 19 adults. All in sumptuous luxury, in a beautiful, rustic country setting.

In May 2009 I bought a wreck of an old farmhouse with a bunch of dilapidated barns and outbuildings. My dream was to have an exclusive development of luxury self-catering holiday cottages so that parties of all sizes and for all reasons could come to Suffolk and enjoy everything our beautiful county has to offer, using our holiday cottages as a luxurious base. We are smack bang in the heart of the county so within easy reach of all the favourite tourist spots such as Aldeburgh, Southwold, Walberswick and Dunwich on Suffolk’s heritage coast, on to historic Dedham, Lavenham and Long Melford inland the other way.

Having previously owned and run a holiday cottage in Suffolk, I wanted to get ambitious! I spent a year renovating the farmhouse as our first holiday cottage here at Woodfarm, then spent a year converting the Granary Barn next to it. With two holiday cottages I wanted more, so I designed and built (with help!) five more holiday barns in the adjacent meadow.

All seven of our luxury self-catering holiday cottages are dog-friendly as pets are welcome throughout. Week after week we greet guests who are constantly surprised at the luxury and quality of our self-catering holiday cottages, when we accept dogs. We make a small charge for dogs to cover extra cleaning to ensure we can maintain the luxury our holiday cottage guests have come to expect.

Suffolk has so much to offer visitors holidaying here, whether it’s a simple walk (with or without dogs) through the rambling Suffolk countryside, the hospitality of our human-friendly and dog-friendly pubs, the beautiful heritage coast, a variety of leisure activities, superb restaurants, visitor attractions or some good old shopping. Above all though, we offer a luxurious, comfortable and cosy haven at the end of a weary day.

Our six holiday cottage barns all have a comfy double bed and have enough room for a travel cot, which are free to our guests. We have strived to provide you with all the luxurious comforts of home, with rustic traditional Suffolk charm. Fully fitted kitchens, dining table and lounge areas with flat-screen TV, DVD, CD, iPod docking station round off the luxury one would hope for. Each holiday cottage barn has an enclosed garden and we also have a waterfall and calming koi pond with a seated decking area overlooking it, for the enjoyment of all our holidaymakers.

Woodfarm House, our flagship self-catering luxury holiday cottage, has four bedrooms; king, double, twin and a single landing bedroom, sleeping seven adults, as well as plenty of room for travel cots, which are free to our guests. Sumptuous dining room, large luxurious lounge, farmhouse kitchen, 3 bathrooms and masses of space make this the self-catering holiday cottage of choice in Suffolk.
