How high are fences and gates, and how secure are the gardens?
This blog post introduces you to a video that I shot to answer the common question of “How high are fences and gates, and how secure are the gardens?”. It’s part of our series of ‘You Ask, We Answer’ videos and blogs. They cover loads of our FAQ’s, or Frequently Asked Questions, but with a (we hope) really helpful deeper dive.
At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.
Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.
This is what I said…
Ensuring Secure Gardens at Woodfarm Barns
Hello, it’s Carl here, standing at the garden gate of Orwell Barn. The purpose of this blog post is to address a common question: how tall are the fences and gates at Woodfarm Barns, and how secure are the gardens?
Standard Height and Security
As you can see, the gate behind me stands at 1.2 meters, which is the minimum height for all our garden gates and fences here at Woodfarm HQ. Additionally, we have mature hedging around the site, and within these hedges, we have 1.2-meter fencing, ensuring complete security. Unless your dog can jump over this height, rest assured that they will be safe. We also have some taller fences and gates for added privacy and security.
Tour of the Gardens
Alde Barn
This is the entrance to Alde Barn. The gate here is 1.2 meters, which is the lowest point of our garden fences.
Deben Barn
Next up is Deben Barn, featuring a taller gate primarily for privacy.
Gipping Barn
As if by magic, here we are at Gipping Barn. This garden includes high fencing at the back, willow hurdles on the sides, and a 1.2-meter gate at the lowest point.
Orwell Barn
Back at Orwell Barn, we have extensive hedging. Apologies for the running water sound; there’s a waterfall behind me. See, I wasn’t lying!
Stour Barn
Here we are at Stour Barn. The entrance is secure with similar features.
The Granary Barn and Meadow View Cottage
This is the entrance to The Granary Barn and Meadow View Cottage. As the name suggests, these also feature securely enclosed gardens.
Woodfarm House
Lastly, Woodfarm House boasts incredibly tall, fully enclosed fences and gates, providing top-notch security.
