Alde Barn

SLEEPS 2 : Alde Barn is a proper cosy, chocolate-box Suffolk Barn, tucked away opposite the fish pond in our secluded meadow. Start the day with the stable door open and a coffee in the garden; end it in your own private hot tub, then back inside to the glow of the log burner. With its vaulted ceiling, huge oak beams, and that winding handmade staircase up to a mezzanine bedroom, it’s romantic, snug, and full of character.

• Fully fitted farmhouse-style kitchen-diner with range cooker, Belfast sink, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster, and plenty of worktop space.*
• Nespresso coffee machine with capsules.
• Kitchen-diner includes an antique farm table, an ancient dresser with draws, and a stable door entrance.
• Open plan living area with a “squishy” sofa, low lighting, log-burning stove, and Smart TV.
• Very high vaulted ceiling with huge exposed oak beams.
• Winding handmade timber staircase.
• Mezzanine double bedroom with a solid wood double sleigh bed.
• Ground-floor shower room with fixed rose ‘watering can’ style shower, loo, basin, and luxury hand soap.
• Egyptian cotton bedding, towels and robes.
• Large fully enclosed private garden, mainly lawn.
• ‘Indoor-outdoor’ garden room with your own Private Hot Tub.
• Patio with BBQ and outdoor table and chairs for al fresco dining.
• Underfloor heating is included, and logs for the fire are available at cost.
• Ample off-road parking is included.
• We warmly welcome up to three dogs in all our Barns and Cottages, each with a fully enclosed garden.
• We also have a secure two-acre meadow gives dogs space to run and play, with a smaller area for older or nervous dogs.
• Alde Barn sits in our secluded meadow next to The Granary, Woodfarm House, and Meadow View Cottage.

Mature trees, a koi and goldfish pond, and a waterfall feature create a peaceful setting. There’s a shared decked area by the pond – perfect for sunsets.

We’re down a pretty country lane just outside the Suffolk village of Stonham Aspal; there are lovely walks and cycle routes straight from the Barns, and the Suffolk Coast is around 30 minutes away. Bikes and free WiFi are included.
