Have great Self Catering holidays with us!

By

Self catering holidays are a really fantastic way to flex those often dormant cooking skills.

Rediscover your love of cooking on self catering holidays at Woodfarm BarnsEnjoy cooking but can’t find the time? Self catering holidays are a great way to rediscover the joy of cooking.

Many people these days find themselves far too busy with the everyday demands of our increasingly fast paced world to cook for themselves and their families on a regular basis.

So although a holiday with us is an excellent opportunity to put your feet up and relax, we find many guests love taking advantage of our well-equipped kitchens, using the holiday to reconnect with their love of cooking.

With the internet being the fantastic source of information of all kinds these days, you’ll find plenty of resources out there to help you make the most of your self catering holidays.

However, to make life a little easier for you, here are some great pages we’ve found:

The Huffington Post have produced a hub of information, tips and recipes to help you get the most out of your holiday cooking time. It can be found by clicking here (we particularly like the tip about keeping things easy!). If you scroll all the way down to the end of the page there’s a link for sharing your own tips and ideas with others too.

One of the Guardian’s food writers, chef Sonya Kidney, was asked a few years ago for her top recipes for self catering holidays. You can read her excellent reply here. We agree that one pot cooking is a very effective way to prepare food for yourself whilst keeping the dreaded washing up to a minimum.

Then of course there’s always the BBC Good Food website. In our opinion it’s one of the best resources on the internet. More recipes than could be made in a lifetime, all rated for flavour and ease of preparation. Worth checking out for sure.

All the pages above mention buying your food locally. We couldn’t agree more!

There are a plethora of local shops and markets within easy driving distance of Woodfarm Barns. We heartily recommend you pay them a visit whilst you’re here. That way you can experience a real taste of Suffolk prepared exactly how you like it.

If you’re interested in experiencing one of our self catering holidays for yourself you can check our availability here.
