Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage on the Suffolk Coast VS Dog Friendly Barn in Suffolk

As part of our commitment to creating helpful content about the very best things to see and do in Suffolk, we regularly take a look at popular Google searches to see what our readers are interested in reading about. There is, after all, little point in writing things if there’s no one out there excited to read about it. In one of our recent digital eavesdropping sessions, we realised that plenty of people on the web are keen to discover more about dog friendly holiday cottages on the Suffolk Coast. After a few seconds thought we realised that our dog friendly Barns for rent in Suffolk actually offer everything that you would expect from a holiday cottage, and then some.

Allow us to explain.

When looking out for luxury dog friendly holiday accommodation in the form of a cottage, you are probably imagining things like a beautifully preserved traditional interior, cosy and comfortable living spaces, and a vast amount of surrounding greenland for your four legged friend to exercise in.

Well, that’s exactly what we specialise in here at Woodfarm Barns and Barges.

At all eight of our luxury dog friendly barns you’ll find enclosed gardens to ensure that your pooch is able to stretch all four legs whenever the mood strikes them. Completing the vision of a cosy cottage, you’ll find antique double beds, 500 year-old thatching and inglenook fireplaces scattered around our various Barns for rent. Of course, we recommend you take a closer look at the individual descriptions of all our properties to ensure that you’re getting exactly the look and feel that you want from your holiday.

We should also point out that if you want to get really technical, one of our Barns is actually named Meadow View Cottage. Complete with thatching and a well-appointed fireplace, Meadow Cottage also provides guests with a spacious lounge, a large wet room and an indoor-outdoor garden. Oh, and a luxury hot tub for good measure, too. With oak beams running throughout the property, we’re confident that it provides everything someone seeking out a dog friendly holiday cottage in Suffolk could possibly want for.

With the option of hosting up to three dogs (and two humans) Meadow View Cottage is within comfortable distance of some of our favourite dog friendly coastal destinations like:

Southwold:

The very definition of postcard perfect, Southwold has earned a leading reputation along Suffolk’s coast thanks to a few Blue Flag beach awards and dog friendly pubs that make it nice and easy to enjoy some refreshments when out and about. Ideal for visitors in autumn, the beach welcomes dogs outside of 1st April to 30th September.

Walberswick:

A picturesque, sand dune backed beach just across the River Blyth, Walberswick is easily accessible to anyone visiting Southwold as part of their dog friendly holiday. Close to Walberswick Nature Park, a beautifully preserved piece of heathland that makes for fantastic walks, this part of the Suffolk coast is also near to one of the many welcoming villages in our fair county.

Dunwich:

A destination that welcomes dogs year round (to the best of our knowledge), Dunwich also complements beautiful walking routes with a variety of restaurants and cafes to stop off along the way.

In addition to these gems along the Suffolk coastline, the nearby Canine Dip ‘n’ Dive offers our four legged guests the opportunity to cool off in a swimming pool especially designed for dogs. Whether they like to take it slow and ease themselves into the water by way of a ramp, or literally dive off at the deep end from a platform, this increasingly popular destination allows dogs to gently exercise, socialise, and keep cool during the summer months. If they could talk, we’re pretty sure that dogs would agree that this is everything they could possibly want from a dog friendly holiday in Suffolk.

We suspect, too, that anyone looking for a dog friendly holiday cottage on the Suffolk coast is likely to be paying mind to eating and drinking during their holiday. We’re pleased to say that we’ve got that covered, too. With guides to the best dog friendly pubs and restaurants in Suffolk, to announcements concerning any new establishments that pop around the county, you can rest assured that you’ll find it effortless to get you and your four legged friend to sit down to lunch and dinner together when on holiday. If you’re keen to whet your appetite ahead of booking a stay with us, this page will provide you with a veritable Michelin guide to the best places to eat and drink with your dog in tow.

Simply put, our Barns for rent provide guests with both the look and feel of a dog friendly holiday cottage as well as a range of nearby activities and places to visit. Ultimately, we’re confident that if you’re looking to stay at a dog friendly holiday cottage on the Suffolk coast, you’re going to get everything you’re looking for at our dog friendly Barns for rent. Just a short drive from many fantastic destinations along the Suffolk coast, our accommodation and the various dog friendly pubs and restaurants located in close proximity make it easier than ever to experience an unforgettable getaway. Be sure to take a look at our availability today to start planning your next dog friendly holiday.
