Sunday 21st September 2014 – Kim and John with their 2 dogs;
Our first visit to Suffolk and found the County and the people very welcoming. Deban barn has all that you need and the extra
touches are so thoughtful. Did not expect the breakfast basket and the extra touches including dog tags – great idea especially for two naughty terriers! Found the pubs and shops very dog friendly which is a priority for us. Not cold enough for the wood burner so might have to make a Winter visit! Lay out is great – enough privacy but a community feel at the same time – not easily achieved. Thank you for a great holiday.

Sunday 7th September 2014 – Sarah and Terry with Tilly the dog;
Our first visit but not our last. The rural idyll has captivated us and we have had a superb week. The thoughtfulness and attention to detail from Carl and the team is exceptional. We have enjoyed the friendliness of all we have met and Suffolk is certainly a county of dog lovers who have welcomed us and our dog warmly and sincerely. Worthy of note is Needham lake (this was Tilly’s contribution) The Victoria Pub at Earl Soham for warm welcome and good food, Alder Carr Farmshop – dogs welcome in the courtyard whilst you eat lunch etc. and the Dog at Grundisburgh.. Exceptional and dogs welcome in all areas – not only given a dog biscuit but
a whole bowlful! Warm and friendly, genuine and great service. Totally enjoyable stay -Thanks Carl and the team

Second visit to Deben Barn.  Lovely to see how garden has matured and fish have grown.  Debenham, Eye and Framlingham Castle worth a visit.  Tilly loved Dunwich beach.  Hope to return to Woodfarm Barns and beautiful Suffolk villages.  So much to see.  Thank you Carl.

Thursday 26th June – Sarah and Stephen with lottie the beagle;
We loved this place – the gardens the fish and the ‘flower bed’.  We went out every day and sampled the fare of various pubs.  Best menu the Ship at Dunwich.  The Deli at Coddenham was excellent and they were very dog friendly.  The villages are so pretty with lovely thatched cottages.  We’ll be back.

Julia and Ian;
A brilliant few days, so relaxing.  We did eventually venture out and enjoyed visiting Framlingham, Orford, Woodbridge and Aldeburgh.  Favourite places being Fram and the countryside around here.  The welcome basket was a real plus point.  The only negative is having to leave!

Happy and most wonderful week. Deben Barn is all one would wish for plus more. Househunting unsuccesful, which gives an excellent opportunity to return for another visit. Many thanks

Friday 7th March 2014 – Neil & Sarah with Alice the dog;
The fact that we are on our 4th holiday at Woodfarm Barns…. says it all!; 🙂 On our first visit to the Granary in September 2011 we watched the oak beams being delivered for the other barns. Having stayed in the Granary again and also Woodfarm House with the family we decided this time to try Deben Barn. It’s cosy and warm and you feel relaxed as soon as you walk in the door. Alice our dog loves the garden, her usual walk down to the churchyard and then on the footpath across the field to a pool for her morning swim!! The weather has been amazing and we have walked and walked. We found that you can park at the harbour in Southwold and then walk over the bridge to Walberswick. It takes about 40-50 minutes, then you can walk over the sand dunes and along the beach for miles. Lunch served at 3pm at the Anchor Inn was a bonus and they welcome dogs. Thank you Carl as usual and we will be back later in the year x PS – didn’t mean to write another novel in your book but get carried away! xx

Sunday 2nd March 2014 – Michael & Diana;
Second visit, as fab as our first. We’ve stayed in Woodfarm House for a family holiday and now tried the romantic barns. Looking forward to coming again

Sunday 23rd February 2014 – Steve & Mandy with Sammie the dog;
Fantastic! Great welcome, relaxing 🙂 beautifully quiet but the birdsong was lovely; Robins, Greenfinches and Great Tits so far. Brilliant little touches all the way round such as bacon, butter and milk in the fridge, a lovely holiday welcome basket of biscuits, eggs, fruit, mushrooms and tomatoes, coffee, tea, sugar, shampoo and shower gel all here! Even a dog biscuit for Sammie our dog. We visited Aldeburgh and highly recommend the fish & chips and Deli there 🙂 – Bury St Edmunds, Needham Market, Lavenham, Debenham (Fish & Chips handy for your first night here) Comfy, cosy and warm – just the place to unwind. We enjoyed waking up to birdsong every morning. Reluctantly packing but still have lots of great memories to take away with us. Many thanks Carl, you’re a star! xx

Monday 20th January 2014 – Nicholas and Steve with Bertie and George the dogs;
Warmly welcomed by Carl and impressed by the standard of the barn. Warm in the barn too; the heating was so efficient we had to turn it down and never needed the woodburner! The dogs enjoyed themselves and we were glad of the 100% enclosed garden; perfect for dogs. We visited Rendlesham, Dunwich and Tunstall for walks and also discovered Kings forest. Most days were spent visiting favourite places along the coast from Orford to Southwold. Thanks also for the welcome basket, particularly the delicious eggs. Thanks to Carl and his team for an enjoyable winter mini-break with the dogs

Monday 10th February 2014 – Betty and Fafryn;
We have had a lovely time staying in Deben Barn and couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing, comfortable place for our first little romantic holiday together. We have wanted for nothing and have very much appreciated the beautiful finishing touches. Woodfarm Barns has helped us create a precious memory. Great cottage

Monday 6th January 2014 – Jack & Elsa with Lima & Luna the dogs (from Holland);
We have already been several times to England but have never had such a warm and well-eqipped cottage that allowed our two boxer dogs. We enjoyed it very much, the dogs did too. Thanks a lot and we will definitely return for our next holiday

Monday 30th December 2013 – Andrew & Val;
What a lovely way to end the year. We were blessed with sunshine and blue skies every day. We saw the footings of these lovely little barns going up in 2011 when we stayed in the beautiful Granary Barn for our first holiday here. It’s great to see the end result and to enjoy a weekend in Deben. Everything so well thought out and provided for our comfort and enjoyment. Especially enjoyed the festive holiday hamper and Carl’s Damson Gin! Well done!
