Christmas Shopping in the Suffolk Countryside & Seaside

Are you hanging up your stocking on the wall? Yeah yeah yeah we know all that but where to buy your stocking and everything else?

The beautiful county of Suffolk takes on a completely different feel this time of year and it just keeps getting better! And with a handful of superb Christmas markets, you’re really spoilt for choice for all your Christmas bits n bobs.

And just to get you in the mood we are giving you the chance to win one of the amazing Suffolk Deli Hampers that are available in all our Holiday Cottages over Christmas!

Christmas at Woodfarm House & Barns - Luxurious and Romantic, Self-Catering, Dog-Friendly Holiday Cottages in the Heart of the Rural Suffolk Countryside

This superb hamper has been created exclusively for Woodfarm Barns by the award-winning Earsham Street Deli in Bungay and as you can see, it’ll certainly get you in the Christmas spirit! Available FREE in all our Cottages over the Xmas and New Year break, simply by giving us the Voucher Code FESTIVE14 when booking, these hampers are crammed with £50 worth of delicious Suffolk goodies.

We are giving away one of these absolutely FREE to one lucky ‘Facebooker’ for simply liking and sharing our page and post. Check it out on Facebook here, or ensure you get one by booking one of our barns by clicking here to see what we have left.

So, where can you do your Christmas shopping?

A personal favourite for shopping is the amazing Blackthorpe Barn towards Bury St Edmunds, which turns into a veritable grotto this time of year. Every day until Christmas! Check out their website to see all the wonderful things you can pick up there. We tend to visit here to pick up all the decorations for Woodfarm Barns every year as there is such a huge range, in addition to a superb Christmas tree and Santa in his grotto.

If you want an alternative over near the coast then Redhouse Christmas Barn is only half an hour from us in the other direction. Check out their full website here. Again, they are open every day and have a massive range of fabulous Christmas decorations and gifts, as well as Christmas Trees and of course Santa and his grotto (he runs between here and Blackthorpe!).

There are tons of Pop Up Christmas events and markets in the County, including one in Southwold on November 29th.

And this one in Bungay on 7th December.
