We did some research into booking motivation and asked for public opinion via a couple of polls. Thank you so much to the hundreds of you who helped us, it really proved to what we suspected was still the most important thing for guests when making short break or holiday decisions:

Guests are looking for a truly memorable experience, not just the cheapest deal, and that’s exactly what we provide. Whether it’s the charm of our luxury Barns or the uniqueness of our Dutch Barges, we work hard to ensure every stay is worth every penny, delivering comfort, character, and a genuine escape from the everyday.

Reviews on trusted platforms just 5%
We’re incredibly proud of having well in excess of 1200 five-star reviews on TripAdvisor, Facebook, and Google, reflecting the amazing experiences our guests have had at Woodfarm Barns and Barges. These reviews have always been a great way for new guests to see what makes us special. However, our poll shows that while reviews still play a role, they’re becoming far less important to the discerning customer, ranking at just 5%. More than ever, people are choosing their holidays based on location, surroundings, and quality, rather than relying solely on online ratings. That said, our glowing reviews continue to reassure guests that when they do choose to stay with us, they’re in for a truly exceptional experience. And as far as we are concerned they are certainly a “nice to have” and one we will continue to work hard on.
