One of the questions we’re occasionally asked is, “Can we play music in the hot tubs?” Our answer to this is a gentle but firm no. We have chosen to keep our environment as tranquil and relaxing as possible, so we kindly ask that guests refrain from playing music in or around the hot tubs.

Our Barns and Barges are designed to provide a retreat from the noise and busyness of everyday life. Many of our guests come specifically for the calming atmosphere, where they can unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy peaceful moments without distraction. We focus on creating a serene ambiance – what we like to think of as a bit of Zen in Suffolk. Whether you’re soaking in the hot tub under the stars or listening to the gentle sounds of the countryside, the experience is made all the more special by the surrounding quiet.

We understand that music can be a great addition to relaxation for some, but we find that the natural beauty and stillness of Woodfarm is best enjoyed without additional sound. In keeping with the tranquil nature of our location, the absence of loud music ensures that everyone can enjoy the peace, including our guests staying in neighbouring cottages. This also allows the soothing sounds of bubbling water, rustling trees, and birdsong to take centre stage – an experience we hope encourages relaxation and mindfulness.

For those looking for a different vibe, perhaps a livelier spot where music is more welcome, we recommend researching other destinations. Ibiza may have some options, though probably without hot tubs! At Woodfarm, we’re all about relaxation, romance, and reconnecting with nature and oneself.
