The biggest reward from running a business with holiday cottages in Suffolk, is the amazing feedback from our guests. However, its nice to be recognised by credible, known sources and after all, its those sources that mean something to you!
Visit England Gold Awards, Hundreds of Five Star reviews on Tripadvisor & Facebook, Industry Awards and good stuff in the Media about us.
Probably the most recognised source of ‘reviews’ for our holiday cottages in Suffolk is TripAdvisor. Why? Because its so well known and it’s where we all turn to look for reviews. The great thing about TripAdvisor is that the reviews come from you!
Tripadvisor Excellence
We’ve got HUNDREDS & HUNDREDS of Five Star reviews!
This is so valuable for us as it’s such a trusted source for potential guests.
It’s a great way for you to know that actual people have said how good we are, rather than us banging on about being brilliant!
Visit England Gold Awards & ROSE Award
Quality Awards are another great barometer for holidaymakers looking for a benchmark or guide to avoid bad experiences. Visit England come and inspect every Barn, Cottage, and Barge every year, and have a massive list of things they go through. From the obvious quality and standard of the accommodation, through to our level of customer service, right down to the quality of our bed linen and towels.
It is a very stringent process and we were delighted many years ago when we were awarded Gold! We have since been re-assessed time and again and are still rated Gold for all of our properties.
This is for all eight of our Holiday Barns & Cottages in Suffolk, as well as our two Barges! They obviously haven’t rated us in Italy as they are Visit England! However, we have followed the exact same procedures with our Tuscan Holiday Home.
Not only do we have Visit England Gold Awards for all our Barns & Barges, but we were also honoured with their prestigious ROSE Award, in Recognition of Service Excellence!
Nominations for the award are based on a variety of feedback including our annual Visit England quality assessment, the observations of our assessor, customer feedback direct to Visit England and online customer reviews. The final judging panel also looks for innovation that sets our business apart. Seriously chuffed with this!
Welcome Awards
As part of the Visit England evaluation process one can also choose to be assessed for suitability for their various ‘Welcome Awards’
They have four of these, which are;
We chose to be assessed for all four categories when we first set out, and again, it was a very stringent process but we were over the moon when we were awarded all four!.
Woodfarm on the Telly!
I was approached in 2018 by ITV to do a piece from one of our barges, Onderneming. They were doing a feature on Dog Walking around the East of England and come across us. We had great fun filming and the piece went out in early 2018. We had some amazing feedback about this superb exposure, with bookings off the back of it, both for Barges and Barns. What was really pleasing was that one of the ITV reporters booked a stay for her family and we had another reporter stay off the back of that break too!
We’ve also been on The BBC, and LBC as well!
The Times
Really chuffed about this! Not one, but both of our Barges featured in the Times during 2018!
Twee Gebroeders was listed in their top Romantic Places to stay, and Onderneming was in their list ‘Unique Holiday Homes in Great Britain’
Pets Pyjamas
Pets Pyjamas is a national resource for all things Dog Friendly. From Pubs and Restaurants, to places to stay.
Absolutely delighted to be nominated and WIN their Award for Unique places to stay for our Barges but hey, it’s all Woodfarm and it’s all great publicity!
It’s so nice to know that we beat competition from all around the country to win this award!
Dog Friendly Magazine
So delighted to be approached by the lovely people at this huuuuge Dog-Friendly publication.
They came for a stay both at Woodfarm Barns and aboard one of our Barges too. And they loved it! Not only did they come with a dog and give us the paws up, but they also had an African Pygmy Hedgehog!
The end result was an amazing 6 page spread, singing our praises.
