Are all your properties heated?

This blog post introduces you to a video that I shot to answer the common question of “Are all your properties heated? It’s also part of our You Ask, We Answer series, where we answer tonnes of FAQs and give you lots of information to help you get the most out of Suffolk.

At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.

Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.

This is what I said…

How Our Barns, Cottages, and Barges Stay Cosy All Year Round

Hello, it’s Carl here! One of the most common questions we get, especially during certain months of the year, is whether our Barns, Cottages, and Barges are heated. The simple answer is yes, they are! But let me explain in a bit more detail to put your mind at ease.

Central Heating and Cosy Fireplaces in Our Cottages

Let’s start with our two lovely Cottages, Woodfarm House and Meadow View Cottage. Both are equipped with a central heating system that keeps them warm and toasty throughout the colder months. You’ll find charming cast iron radiators throughout each Cottage, and for that extra touch of warmth, both Cottages also feature a log burner. Imagine curling up in front of a roaring fire on a chilly evening – pure bliss!

Underfloor Heating in Our Barns

Moving on to our Barns, each one is fitted with underfloor heating, ensuring a consistent and cosy temperature throughout your stay. This modern feature is perfect for keeping you warm from the ground up, so even if you’re visiting in the middle of winter, you’ll be snug and comfortable.

Warmth and Comfort on Our Barges

Our two beautiful Barges, Twee Gebroeders and Onderneming, also have you covered when it comes to heating. Twee Gebroeders in Woodbridge boasts a fabulous range cooker that kicks out a lot of heat, perfect for those cold days by the river. It also has a heated towel rail in the bathroom to add that little extra touch of comfort.

Onderneming, our larger Barge, features both a central heating system and a wood burner, creating a wonderfully warm and inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re lounging in the cabin or enjoying a meal, you’ll feel cosy and comfortable.

Heating in Our Tuscan Property

Even if you’re staying at our property in Tuscany, Casa Trebbio, we’ve made sure you’re well taken care of. The dining room features a lovely open fire, perfect for cooler evenings, and the air conditioning system doubles as heating during the winter months. Plus, if you’re enjoying the outdoor patio, there’s a delightful outdoor fire to keep you warm while you savour a pizza under the stars.

Year-Round Comfort, No Matter Where You Stay

So, whether you’re planning a winter getaway or a cosy autumn retreat, rest assured that all our Barns, Cottages, and Barges are fully heated. No matter the season, we’ve got your comfort covered.
