Deben Barn guided tour

Deben Barn guided tour of the virtual tour

By

This is a video that I shot, giving you a guided tour of the virtual tour of Deben Barn. It’s part of our series of ‘You Ask, We Answer’ videos and blogs that cover loads of our FAQ’s, or Frequently Asked Questions, but with a (we hope) a really helpful deeper dive.

At Woodfarm Barns & Barges, we understand that planning the perfect getaway involves many questions and uncertainties. To help you navigate through these and to ensure you have the best experience possible, we’ve launched our ‘You Ask, We Answer’ initiative. This approach isn’t just about promoting our Barns, Cottages and Barges; it’s about providing valuable information, solutions, and peace of mind to our prospective guests.

Anyway, this is the video, and the transcript is below it if you wish to go back over anything.

This is what I said…

Exploring Deben Barn: A Virtual Tour Guide

Hello, it’s Carl, and today I’m going to guide you through a virtual tour of Deben Barn. The aim of this video is to demonstrate how our virtual tours work, with a special focus on Deben Barn. A quick disclaimer: this isn’t a professionally produced video. It’s just me on my computer showing you the ropes, so expect a bit of a ‘warts and all’ experience.

Navigating the Virtual Tours

To start, go to our homepage and scroll down to the section where our virtual tours are located. You’ll see a button that says “Take the Virtual Tour.” Clicking this will take you to the virtual tour homepage, where you’ll find a menu listing all our properties, including our Barns, Cottages, and even our two Barges. We also feature Woodfarm Tuscany.

Before we delve into the tour, I recommend switching to full screen mode for a better view. There’s a little button at the bottom right for this.

Virtual Tour Overview

Once you’re in, you can use your cursor (or your finger on a tablet or phone) to navigate around. You can look up, down, and all around to get a sense of the layout. Our private meadow for exercising dogs is prominently featured, along with The Granary Barn, Meadow View Cottage, Woodfarm House, and our fish pond.

Touring Deben Barn

Let’s focus on Deben Barn. You can access it via the descriptions on the side menu, but for now, I’ll use the little icon on the screen. Clicking this brings us to the front gate of Deben Barn, which is much taller now, with more mature hedges for added privacy.

Entering the Barn, you’ll find an open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space. The living area features a wood burner, a comfy leather sofa, and a smart TV. The kitchen is well-equipped with a microwave, cooker, toaster, kettle, and a fridge with a freezer compartment. There’s a lovely old pine table and a couple of chairs in the dining area.

The Bedroom and Shower Room

Moving to the bedroom, you’ll find a beautiful antique double bed and a chest of drawers. There’s also a large double wardrobe for all your storage needs. The Barn’s ceilings are vaulted, giving a wonderful sense of space.

The shower room is compact but fully equipped with a shower cubicle, toilet, and sink.

Exploring the Garden

Outside, the garden is fully enclosed with high fences and hedging, providing a secure and private space. There’s a table and chairs for outdoor dining, and a luxurious hot tub for your enjoyment. The garden gate is now taller, ensuring complete privacy.

Staying Connected

I hope this tour helps you understand how to navigate our virtual tours using your phone, tablet, or computer. Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel and follow our Facebook page for more updates and some entertaining content. Additionally, sign up for our newsletter on our homepage to receive information about cancellations, last-minute bookings, and our regular competitions.
