Romantic Suffolk Holiday Cottage on film
A preview of perhaps our most Romantic Suffolk Holiday Cottage, The Granary Barn.
After almost a year in the making we now have a series of videos to give prospective guests a really good look around Woodfarm so they can choose which of our dog-friendly cottages they want to stay in. This one features The Granary Barn, which sleeps two. Do look at the others too as we have one for each cottage, including Woodfarm House, which also sleeps two. Our barns all sleep two.So welcome to The Granary Barn, a romantic Suffolk holiday cottage. The idea of these films is for guests to be able to choose their own cottage at Woodfarm, based upon a short movie showing you what they each have to offer. If you haven’t stayed here before then they are well worth a look as they really showcase what Woodfarm is all about. And don’t forget to watch the overall Woodfarm video too!
They have all been made by Paula Brown of Positive FX Studio, a previous guest who also happens to be a film producer! They are all within the grounds of Woodfarm House and ideally situated for exploring the whole county.
Please watch, share, pass on and shout about them. It’d be great if we could get the whole world to see these so they can all choose their cottage in Suffolk to come and stay at! The Granary Barn isn’t our only romantic Suffolk holiday cottage, we have six altogether, as well as Woodfarm House, which sleeps two.
If you don’t have time to watch it right now and just want to know the main bits, this is what I say in the video;
“The Granary Barn is a 300 year old Grain Barn.
We’ve kept an awful lot of the original features so that people get a sense of what life was like hundreds of years ago in Suffolk.
So the roofing on the Granary is original, we kept all of the tiles. When we were stripping the roof we even kept the moss in place so that we could put it all back exactly as it was – hence the way that it looks today.
Downstairs is all open plan, with a nice open lounge, with log burner. Kitchen/diner area.
There’s luxurious little touches like an espresso coffee machine.
It’s just got a real cosy homey feel to it.
And then one bedroom upstairs with an en-suite shower room.
Its got a fabulous feature window overlooking the fields beyond – it’s hand made in oak by a local craftsman.
Guests feel so welcome here because we provide all of the bedding, all of the laundry.
All of the lighting in there – I’ve had wall lights and chandeliers made by a local forge.
Guests come back to it year after year and its really just a very cosy, comfortable proper old Suffolk Barn.”
So I hope you like the look of The Granary Barn. These are a few of our favourite shots.
