Dog Friendly Cottages go wild with Pigs!

We are delighted to announce that our dog friendly cottages have teamed up with St Elizabeth Hospice for what we hope will just be the start of a great relationship.

The Summer of 2016 sees them staging Suffolk’s biggest ever mass-participation, public art event – Pigs Gone Wild, as part of Art Gone Wild.

And we are giving one lucky family the chance to WIN a FREE four-Night Break in Woodfarm House as the main prize for the event!

We have dog friendly cottages but this event will be an ‘interactive sculpture trail’ featuring over 40 pigs across Ipswich and Suffolk. It runs from June 27th to September 2nd and you can follow the trail collecting points with their special Pigs Gone Wild app and try to spot as many of the sculptures as you can. The pigs are all sponsored by local companies and painted by amazing local artists, including Emma Graham and Lois Cordelia.

A Four-Night Break in Woodfarm House!

The pigs themselves will be individually decorated by artists and will all be sponsored by Suffolk businesses. They’ll be on show for two and a half months over the Summer and will also be joined by numerous junior pig sculptures, all designed by local school children and teachers. The smaller ones will appear in litters across Ipswich.

Once the event has finished the large pigs will be then be auctioned to raise funds for St Elizabeth Hospice.

We are so pleased to be working with the team at the Hospice; they do such amazing work providing care and service for people living with progressive illness through Suffolk.

We have given away free breaks in our dog friendly cottages before but have never given away a break in Woodfarm House itself. It sleeps two and up to three dogs.

The prize is bookable over a full six month period after the competition winner is drawn.

We first opened the doors of Woodfarm House as the first of our Suffolk dog-friendly cottages in Easter in 2010 and have welcomed thousands of guests since then. Its the perfect place for groups of extended family or friends to kick back and unwind in the beautiful surroundings of a 500 year old thatched Suffolk farmhouse.
With a large lounge featuring a cosy open fire, sumptuous dining room, farmhouse kitchen, 3 bathrooms and four bedrooms, it’s a rambling old home, with tons of exposed oak timbers. A large garden to the front and a fully enclosed kitchen garden to the rear, its a great holiday for your dogs too!

We are really pleased to be joining the sponsors of this event, who include such prestigious Suffolk companies as; The Coop, Suffolk Wildlife Trust, John Grose, Clark & Simpson and Jimmy’s Farm, headed up by the event patron Jimmy Doherty. Town 102, The Ipswich Star and the East Anglian Daily Times will be handling the bulk of the promotion.

Full prize details and terms:

The prize is for a Four-Night Midweek Break, Monday to Friday, in Woodfarm House. You can select from dates between November 2016 and April 2017 inclusive. Dates chosen are subject to availability of course. Please note; Christmas and New Year are already booked so therefore excluded.

The prize is for up to seven people to stay, at least two of whom must be at least 18 years of age, and up to three dogs as we have dog friendly cottages.

The prize cannot be transferred to an existing booking or used in conjunction with any other offer. The prize is non-transferable, cannot be sold, and no cash alternative is offered. Only one entry per person.
