One of the great dog-friendly pubs local to our Suffolk holiday cottages just got even better with a 10% off voucher so our holidaymakers can enjoy some great food, for less. The Moon & Mushroom in Swilland have sent us some vouchers that our guests can use on their holiday.
Dating back around 500 years, the Moon & Mushroom is a traditional old Suffolk Inn, with cask ales and fresh local food sourced from around Suffolk, using different farmers, suppliers, growers and gamekeepers. There’s always a fire going in the winter and the place is awash with colour during the summer months from their hanging baskets and tubs.
They always have a great selection of local Suffolk and Norfolk beers and they are members of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale but please note the 10% discount is just for your food bill, not drinks.
As a sample of the sort of fare they serve to their diners, typical starters include such favourites as:

I haven’t put prices on as they vary of course and you may be reading this way into the future but at the time of writing (May 2015) the starters are around £5 to £6, main courses average around £9 to £13, with the steak around £14 and puds under a fiver. Cheeseboard is around £6.50.
Suffolk pubs – a great choice for our holiday cottage guests
We are very lucky to have a wide choice of really good pubs within easy reach of our holiday cottages. I shan’t go into detail here as this blog post is about the Moon & Mushroom but if you have a good root around our website we recommend a real variety. But the Moon & Mushroom is a great one just ten minutes or so from our holiday cottages. It’s always friendly with great food and beer and now you can get a 10% discount it’s got to be even more palatable!
